WE ARE ALL GOING TO PRETEND THAT MY FIRST ENTRY OF THE NEW YEAR IS NOT TECHNICALLY A LATE FIC, OKAY? OKAY.

title: more than the recommended amount
fandom: the social network
pairing: mark/eduardo
rating: r
word count: ~12,700
disclaimer: these are a) not based on the real people but their fictional counterparts from the 2010 film, and b) not my characters either. TSN YOUR DISCLAIMERS ARE SO CONVOLUTED.
a/n: a [livejournal.com profile] tsnsecretsanta fic for [livejournal.com profile] goldendoods! :D I hope this is okay for you! shdgfsjh also, as ever, all the thanks in the known universe for [livejournal.com profile] laliandra, who read this over despite me sending it THE DAY BEFORE NEW YEAR'S EVE... and told me to add more feelings. I also couldn't have got this done without [livejournal.com profile] antistar_e bearing all my ridiculous emails. SO MANY ♥ YOU GUYS DON'T EVEN KNOW. sdjhgfshjgf. That aside, this was actually so much fun to write! HAPPY HOLIDAYS ONE AND ALL. I have this fic saved in two different word docs on my computer, one of which is called "TELL HIM THOUUUUUUUGH" and the other "WARDO JUST HAS A LOT OF FEELINGS OKAY", which basically sum up this fic. *pokerface*
summary: in which Dustin gets impatient, Mark gets a cold, and Eduardo gets ALL THE FEELINGS IN THE WORLD.

We can all see you looking at him. There is no invisible barrier that stops us seeing your terrifying huge-eyed love. Just freaking tell him before you explode love goop all over the dorm. )

title: what not to do when your boss is dating the guy he had erased from his memory: a user's guide by c. hughes
fandom: the social network
pairing: mark/eduardo
rating: pg-13
word count: ~10k
disclaimer: these are a) not based on the real people but their fictional counterparts from the 2010 film, and b) not my characters either. everything belongs to other people, the talented ones.
a/n: a [livejournal.com profile] help_japan fic for [livejournal.com profile] willow314159, who not only made a wonderfully generous bid but who has also been legitimately the most patient person in the world while I dithered around and never managed to meet deadlines and lived with AN APPALLING INTERNET CONNECTION THAT APPARENTLY HATES JOY. So. Thank you, lovely [livejournal.com profile] willow314159! My endless apologies that it is so much later than I promised and hopefully you will enjoy this <3 Also, to [livejournal.com profile] laliandra, all the thanks and lemons in the world for being the best beta and also for existing.

A prequel mix/fic exists, but reading that is not necessary in order to read this. SONGS! ABOUT MEMORY AND NOSTALGIA AND FEELINGS! You know you want some of that.

summary: A TSN/Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind fusion. mostly based on this prompt. In which Mark has a new mystery significant other, or so Dustin claims, and there is not enough alcohol in the world to make Chris's life any less stupid.

It's somewhere around unpleasant o'clock in the morning and Chris is still busy trying to ingest as much caffeine as possible without just hooking himself up to an IV, but apparently neither of these things matter to Dustin. )

a fic/mix prequel to what not to do when your boss is dating the guy he's had erased from his memory: a user's guide by c. hughes

Not necessary to read this in order to read the main fic, nor is it necessary to read either to listen to the mix. idk. FEELINGS. MUSIC. MEMORY WIPES. It's all going on under the cut.

warnings: the end of the world, zombies, mild violence in a few scenes. THE LUDICROUS EPILOGUE NEEDS A WARNING FOR LUDICROUS.
disclaimer: these are a) not based on the real people but their fictional counterparts from the 2010 film, and b) not my characters either. This is a fic about zombies. It definitely isn't real. Title from No Roots, by Amy MacDonald.

obnoxiously lengthy author's notes )

the time is come when the day is done
for [livejournal.com profile] thesocialbbang. Mark is in California. Eduardo is in Florida. There's a whole country full of zombies between them, but Mark's not going to let a little thing like the potential to be eaten stop him from getting somewhere Eduardo wants him to be.

a/n: ajshfsd so I had incredibly badly timed writer's block after finishing the bakery au, and I fell in love with this prompt when I first saw it, and then it was BRILLIANTLY filled here by [livejournal.com profile] pidgeoned and the wip at the kink meme by [livejournal.com profile] blueberryboxes is so lovely too, and is brightening my day every time it updates, so this is basically redundant and unnecessary, but it got me through the thorny forest of mocking blank pages in MS Word, so I am slightly attached to it. APOLOGIES EVERYWHERE, GO READ THE OTHER (BETTER) FILLS, ugh I feel so guilty and rubbish. Title from Piledriver Waltz, by Alex Turner, which is also from the mix [livejournal.com profile] pidgeoned put together, because a) I am a massive hack and b) it is beautiful and perfect. This, on the other hand, is, I think, my brain's reaction to 72k of pure sugar. :S
summary: in a summer post-Spiderman and pre-Woody Allen movie, Jesse and Andrew get together, and decompress.

Andrew shook his hand on a New York street, a month or so ago, and Jesse biked home by himself. Here in the two-step width of Jesse's hallway, paparazzi-free, Andrew can fold himself around Jesse like Jesse is used to, nosing at the crook of his neck, familiar. Andrew's rucksack swings off his shoulder and bumps into Jesse's side; Jesse ignores it, hugs Andrew back. )

First, an insta-rec! i've got an atlas in my hands by [livejournal.com profile] pidgeoned. I am head over heels for everything [livejournal.com profile] pidgeoned writes, but I think this might be my very favourite. For this kink meme prompt: [Andrew and Jesse] meet up halfway through the summer when they get some time off, to decompress and hide from the world, and get to know each other again. Also by [livejournal.com profile] pidgeoned and that made me weep everywhere at three in the morning when I should have been asleep: mapmaker, mapmaker, make me a map. For other embarrassingly enthusiastic recs, here is where I unleashed my insanity upon poor [livejournal.com profile] hold_onhope. I am sure that everyone has already read everything there, but NEVER MIND, READ IT AGAIN. The sad thing is, that is not even the entire list of all the fic I love. TSN FANDOM, WHY SO AMAZE?

asghfjfg okay, so, my internet is still all over the place but more irritatingly, I have got a pleasing combination of both writer's block and writer's paralytic paranoia that everything I write needs to meet the backspace button at once. On the other hand, I somehow managed to finagle the weekend off work, so I have totally got time to do this stupid thing to shove myself back into MS Word:

Help me get over stupid writer's stumbling blocks by leaving me a prompt in the comments? I will comment fic it up for anyone who asks! Any prompt! Anything! THIS IS A PITIFUL PLEA FOR HELP, YOU GUYS. I AM A SHAM OF A HUMAN. COME LEAVE ME A PROMPT TO VALIDATE MY EXISTENCE.

I CANNOT BELIEVE I HAVE FINISHED THIS, IT FEELS LIKE THIS HAS BECOME A PART OF MY SOUL.

Side-effects may include sugar headaches, toothaches and diabetic comas.

title: sweet on you (3/3)
fandom: the social network
pairing: mark/eduardo
rating: let's just say NC17 and be done with it. I AM TERRIBLE AT RATINGS, BUT THIS IS NSFW.
word count: ~36,000 (WHY YES, this part is as long as the first two combined. ideeek)
disclaimer these are a) not based on the real people but their fictional counterparts from the 2010 film, and b) not my characters either.
summary: the final part of bakery au! In which cakes are baked, feelings are felt and Mark makes his known. Eventually.
a/n: oh my god, okay, first of all I am sorry that this took so long, and then I am also sorry that this is so long, I did not expect this at all. Guys, this thing is ~72K, all in. HOW. ajhsgdhds. Huge thanks must go to [livejournal.com profile] ilovemybaby, who coached me through bits of Portuguese with endless patience despite my sleep-deprivation and has all my love and gratitude forever (any and all remaining mistakes are mine and mine alone), [livejournal.com profile] schythr, for putting up with my sleep-deprived messages, and also to [livejournal.com profile] novembersmith, my Edward Norton, my better half, etc etc etc, for helping out with American brands, for the emails, and for EXISTING. Another gigantic thank you to everyone who has commented on this so far for being so unbelievably lovely, I cannot even express how blown away I have been, and to anyone who has read this in general, and, basically, I LOVE EVERYONE IN THIS BAR. <3333333

Part one. Part two.

Mark gets back from New York the same day Eduardo is due in, and he goes to Eduardo's apartment rather than his own house, reveling in not having anyone talking at him, or near him, or about him, unlike every waking moment he's endured for the past nine days. )

Here is another bitty post! \0/ \0/ #moog makes excellent life decisions.

- third Spanish exam on Thursday! At this point my revision to fic-writing ratio is not so much in revision's favour, so that's tomorrow sorted out.

- I have watched this an obscene number of times, but my thoughts on River Song are for another time. The short version goes like this: SHE IS MY QUEEN.

- relatedly, I am so unbelievably beyond excited for new Who next weekend. IT FEELS LIKE IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME. ahgfjhsgdj Nine was my Doctor but Eleven is my favourite, if that makes any sense? Let's not go into how I was 14 and shipping Doctor/Rose like it was my job, but, you know, that happened. I AM JUST GLAD I DID NOT READ TWILIGHT AT THAT AGE, BECAUSE YOU KNOW I WOULD HAVE BEEN ALL OVER THAT. I am essentially a sham of a human.

- I always feel like a bit of a twat when I talk about fic I'm writing, but a couple of people have been nice enough to ask when the next part of BAKERY AU is coming up (YOU ARE ALL LOVELY), so: I am working on it right now! Part three is currently ~18,000 words and maybe half done. This would be less tricky if the half that was done was the first half, but it is not. ~excellent life-decisions~ There is an awful self-indulgent possibility that it might end up being twice as long again. I AM SO SORRY, IDEK WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON, NOTHING I HAVE EVER WRITTEN HAS BEEN THIS LONG BEFORE. ANYWAY, the short version of that nonsense is: I am working on it! It won't be up this week, but maybe the middle of next week? I am going a bit mad trying to keep it all in my head when I have to do other things, and not just bore everyone I talk to rigid by talking at them when I'm trying to work bits out.

- ALSO, if anyone speaks Portuguese, is there any chance I could run a few lines past you? I DON'T WANT TO BUTCHER THE FEW BITS OF THIS LANGUAGE I AM USING, AND I AM SLIGHTLY SIDE-EYING BABELFISH. ajhgfhsdgfj why do I do these things. I don't speak Portuguese and I know nothing about code.

- on a similar note, I am so beyond amazed by the lovely comments people have been leaving, and I want to reply to all of them, because ajshfjhsdgf. I have a few extra shifts in the next couple of weeks, and the exam this week, but I AM DEFINITELY ON THAT. <33333 A huge thank you to everyone who has commented, or read it at all - this would definitely not have been as fun to do without you all. I LOVE EVERYONE IN THIS BAR.

- also, I have a document on my computer saved as "bakery au cuts", which is, cunningly, where I shove all the bits I've cut out (yes, it is stupidly long and I have cut stuff out, I am that ridiculous, etc etc) in case I want to use them again later in the fic, or they just weren't working at all, and that is ~5000 words. HERE IS A BIT FROM THAT THAT WAS CUT FROM PART TWO, because I don't see it going back in the fic, and, well, I feel guilty about having a wip and not updating it for a while. FEEL MY GUILT.

sweet on you cut scene, NSFW, ~250 words )

- OH OH ALSO, I SAW AND LOVED RIO AT WORK THE OTHER DAY. I missed the last twenty minutes because my shift ended, but I WILL SEE IT ON THURSDAY. Oh god, it is so lovely I thought I might die. I had to come home and buy the soundtrack. Let me take you to Rio, Rio. fnnnnnnnnng.

OKAY, I think that is it. One day I will be here to post something of slightly less ridiculous quality, but apparently today is not that day. This post feels so self-indulgent I slightly want to go ostrich-face and hide in the sand forever. I NEED TO TALK TO SOME FOOD ABOUT THIS.

HERE IS A POST OF THINGS I SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED EARLIER BUT I AM RIDICULOUS AND HAVE BEEN AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER:

- [livejournal.com profile] huntsmonsters made an amazing audiofic of there is a place in my heart, which, just, ajgfjhsgd. I CANNOT EVEN. SHE MAKES ANDREW'S FLAILING SOUND LEGIT, THAT IS A SKILL. ♥

- [livejournal.com profile] na_shao made a a+++ fanmix for there is a place in my heart, which I have listened to an embarrassing number of times. THAT. LAST. SONG. IN. PARTICULAR. SO PERFECT.

- [livejournal.com profile] gracewang translated the first part of sweet on you into chinese, which, OH MY GOD. akjsfhjsdgf. TRANSLATED INTO CHINESE. I cannot eveeeeen.

- [livejournal.com profile] schythr drew baker!Wardo and Mark in Eduardo's bakery, and OH MY GOD, CAN I JUST - I MEAN - IT IS SO RIDICULOUSLY PERFECT. WARDO'S SMILE. MARK'S HANDS IN HIS POCKETS. THE PLUG ON THE WALL. EVEN THE COFFEE MACHINE IS IN THE RIGHT PLAAAAACE. WHAT DO I DO WITH MY HAAAAANDS.

I know I've said this before, but I am so completely blown away by the comments on the bakery au. YOU GUYYYYS. Thank you so much, you are all RIDICULOUSLY LOVELY. <33333 I have been sort of away from the computer since I posted it so I've not been able to reply to all the comments yet, but I definitely will do! On a related note, I'm working on part three now, for anyone that might be wondering, and it will be up asap.

AND FINALLY, thank you to everyone who made a bid on my thread at [livejournal.com profile] help_japan, and a special thank you to the three highest bidders - some of your donations were unbelievably generous, so, thank you so much! I am so excited to start work on the three fics, and I just hope I can do your prompts justice. <333

HA HA HA FUNNY STORY, I JUST REALISED I MANAGED TO MISS OUT ~2000 WORDS FROM THAT LAST BAKERY AU UPDATE WHEN I COPY/PASTED IT LAST NIGHT.

WHOOPS.

The missing bit can be found at the beginning of part 2b.

WHAT AM I. ALL THE APOLOGIES EVER.
