Here is another bitty post! \0/ \0/ #moog makes excellent life decisions.

- third Spanish exam on Thursday! At this point my revision to fic-writing ratio is not so much in revision's favour, so that's tomorrow sorted out.

- I have watched this an obscene number of times, but my thoughts on River Song are for another time. The short version goes like this: SHE IS MY QUEEN.

- relatedly, I am so unbelievably beyond excited for new Who next weekend. IT FEELS LIKE IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME. ahgfjhsgdj Nine was my Doctor but Eleven is my favourite, if that makes any sense? Let's not go into how I was 14 and shipping Doctor/Rose like it was my job, but, you know, that happened. I AM JUST GLAD I DID NOT READ TWILIGHT AT THAT AGE, BECAUSE YOU KNOW I WOULD HAVE BEEN ALL OVER THAT. I am essentially a sham of a human.

- I always feel like a bit of a twat when I talk about fic I'm writing, but a couple of people have been nice enough to ask when the next part of BAKERY AU is coming up (YOU ARE ALL LOVELY), so: I am working on it right now! Part three is currently ~18,000 words and maybe half done. This would be less tricky if the half that was done was the first half, but it is not. ~excellent life-decisions~ There is an awful self-indulgent possibility that it might end up being twice as long again. I AM SO SORRY, IDEK WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON, NOTHING I HAVE EVER WRITTEN HAS BEEN THIS LONG BEFORE. ANYWAY, the short version of that nonsense is: I am working on it! It won't be up this week, but maybe the middle of next week? I am going a bit mad trying to keep it all in my head when I have to do other things, and not just bore everyone I talk to rigid by talking at them when I'm trying to work bits out.

- ALSO, if anyone speaks Portuguese, is there any chance I could run a few lines past you? I DON'T WANT TO BUTCHER THE FEW BITS OF THIS LANGUAGE I AM USING, AND I AM SLIGHTLY SIDE-EYING BABELFISH. ajhgfhsdgfj why do I do these things. I don't speak Portuguese and I know nothing about code.

- on a similar note, I am so beyond amazed by the lovely comments people have been leaving, and I want to reply to all of them, because ajshfjhsdgf. I have a few extra shifts in the next couple of weeks, and the exam this week, but I AM DEFINITELY ON THAT. <33333 A huge thank you to everyone who has commented, or read it at all - this would definitely not have been as fun to do without you all. I LOVE EVERYONE IN THIS BAR.

- also, I have a document on my computer saved as "bakery au cuts", which is, cunningly, where I shove all the bits I've cut out (yes, it is stupidly long and I have cut stuff out, I am that ridiculous, etc etc) in case I want to use them again later in the fic, or they just weren't working at all, and that is ~5000 words. HERE IS A BIT FROM THAT THAT WAS CUT FROM PART TWO, because I don't see it going back in the fic, and, well, I feel guilty about having a wip and not updating it for a while. FEEL MY GUILT.

Mark's good with his hands, good with feeling his way through something. Like, when he's coding he doesn't need to look at the keys, the causers, just at the effects unfurling on the screen. It's the same with this, with sex, with Eduardo: he doesn't need to look at his hands spreading out over Eduardo's hips, wide span from thumb to pinky-tip, he doesn't need to see himself take Eduardo in hand, or watch himself palm rough down Eduardo's chest: he just needs to see Eduardo react, the effects, his shower-wet, kissed-wet mouth, his blown-open pupils, the flush creeping down his neck. Mark keeps his gaze trained on Eduardo's reaction just as avidly as on any written code, the flickers of expression evolving into a whole, like one typed letter after another, leading to Eduardo panting hard in the steam-filled shower, or a whole new user interface.

The similes don't work the other way round: when Eduardo jerks him off too, fondly retaliatory, both of them turning steam-red under the steady spray of water, there is nothing Mark can think of as a comparison. He can only lean his head back against the tile, and keep his hand on Eduardo's shoulder for balance, his other hand drawing breathless, expletive gasps from Eduardo, and there is no comparison because what can be better than this? Mark has no need for hyperbole.

Touching Eduardo is like teasing out code from a keyboard: it gives Mark the same rush.

- OH OH ALSO, I SAW AND LOVED RIO AT WORK THE OTHER DAY. I missed the last twenty minutes because my shift ended, but I WILL SEE IT ON THURSDAY. Oh god, it is so lovely I thought I might die. I had to come home and buy the soundtrack. Let me take you to Rio, Rio. fnnnnnnnnng.

OKAY, I think that is it. One day I will be here to post something of slightly less ridiculous quality, but apparently today is not that day. This post feels so self-indulgent I slightly want to go ostrich-face and hide in the sand forever. I NEED TO TALK TO SOME FOOD ABOUT THIS.

Nine/Rose was the ship of my 14 year old heart. I wrote terrible angsty nonsense all about them all the time. ONCE I WROTE FIC ON AN EXAM PAPER BECAUSE I FINISHED EARLY, AND THEN I HAD TO GO BACK AND CROSS IT OUT EXTREMELY VIGOROUSLY. ahsgfjhsgdfjd I still ship Doctor/Rose, tbh. AND RIO HOMG, I saw it at work, and I was standing in full view of the audience and making the most ridiculous contortionist faces just so I wouldn't laugh out loud.
