Yesterday I typed out a vair interesting entry, complete with lists and pictures, but then the computer went spazoid on me and wouldn't let me post it, so you don't get it because now I can't be bothered. I put up a pretteh! new icon though, so look at that instead.

Nothing has been happenening around here, except that my latest SQUEE moment has been Viggo/Miranda in a way that means I CAN USE A SLASH FOR THEM!! EEEE!!

But that aside. Oh wait, there was a groovy Gilly moment on Bleak House, eye acting and subtlety ahoy and angst all the way. *is happy*

I'm typing up that 10 things piece I wrote soon, so that is coming for a later date.

Have to go let step-dad fix the printer now.

But broadband is the best thing EVAH!

I'm tired. That's really the best I can do today. I've only been back at school for two days and I need sleep so badly. And there's teh nothing on tv.

It has to be Thursday soon because of Bleak! House! But I'm not in this Thursday, I'm up at school being a good girl and doing a stall for charities evening with my friend so I'll have to tape it, but I'll watch it the second I can when I get back!

People have been making beeyowtiful Gilly-as-Lady-Dedlock icons over at the __gillian livejournal community (I'd put that as a clicky-clicky link, but I can't be bothered to go into rich-text) so go see those.

Ok, does Halloween require fireworks? And does Halloween begin on the 29th? Because some freak/loud/irritating people that live near my father's house seem to think it does. On both counts. Gah.

On a similar note: Groovy 'spooky' livejournal pages! *lurves*

And fangirling. Bleak House? Fan.Tastic. Gillian? Bloody marvelous. Angst level? So very vair high. *adoration*

I'll come back with pictures some other time! Promise. *kisses*

So, am now at my aunt's house! It's so lurvely here, apart from being vair vair cold. But that's nothing that my new cardigan that resembles a pair of sleeves with a back can't fix!

Am now using an Apple Mac laptop (my uncle's) and it's as confusing as hell. Internet Explorer does not exist, instead there is "Safari mode". What the hell is that?? Gah. And the mouse? ONLY HAS ONE BUTTON! There is no option to right click! That is not right!! You cannot open things in a new window!! *dies* But I'm dealing, Vaguely. If dealing means screaming at the stupid laptop in a "WHY COULDN'T YOU JUST BUY A WINDOWS!!!" kind of rational way.

There are many many bonuses to being here though!

1) Broadband *lurves it*
2) NTL (which is like Sky, or whatever versions you know of paying for extra channels)
3) No small children
4) My darling aunt and uncle (darling may not be the right word for the woman who chose to decorate her house like this: outrageous and strong-willed spring to mind!)
5) She has a Tassimo machine, which is the easiest way of making any knid of hot drink you can think of.
6) Lots and lots of nice food
7) Did I mention my aunt and uncle?
8) My aunt!

Right now, everyone is at work but I don't mind. It's nice here. In a bit I'm going to go and get some vair vair fattening lunch, because I want to, and I may serve it with some fattening pudding and some hot chocolate. Then I'm going to watch Scrubs. *is in heaven*

As a side note: Kristin Scott-Thomas? Too, too stunning.

Note 2: BLEAK HOUSE STARTS TONIGHT!!! Eeeeeeeee!!! Gilllyyyy! Lady Dedlock! Depressing must-act storylines! Decent tv! Dickens!! *hyperventilates*

Note 3: Laura, if you read this, hello! (For those of you who don't know Laura, you are either very blessed or very unfortunate, depending on your view point.) *waves to Laura* See, I mentioned you! *huggles*

*huggles for Meredithy too, so she doesn't get jealous* ;)

I just wrote all of this once and it wouldn't post, so I had to refresh the thing and start it again! *is not happy*

But I am happy really, because it's Half Term! A nice week off school! And I finished all the crappy notes/homework/crap off yesterday, so I have nothing to do this week apart from things I want to do. And I'm going to my Aunt's house which will be lurvely, and Bleak House starts on tv with Gilly! I do have to read a bit more of Tess of the d'Ubervilles for school, which I thought I'd enjoy because Thomas hardy wrote it but it's just not appealing to me and he's trying to really make us sympathise for Tess - and that irritates me. I like books where, ok, the author has opinions on the characters and there is a set way that you 'should' feel towards each of them in order to be conducive to the plot but there is room for the reader's own opinions. With Tess, it's more "Feel sorry for her! Like her! VICTIMVICTIMUNFORTUNATEEVENTS! *glares* And Roman Polanski's film version? So so dry. And so so bad because of that that it starts veering into being as bad as (imo) Midsummer Night's Dream with Kevin Kline. *shudder*

On a less ranty note, because Bleak House is starting on Thursday *OMGsquee!!*, there's been tons of publicity for it. I've got 3 tv mags because there were interviews with Gilly in them and we get two more this weekend because they come with the newspapers so I really should have this week's tv memorised soon! But they all came with pretteh pics of Gilly, so all is good. And she's on the radio on Monday, Richard and Judy on Tuesday and then Bleak House is on Thursday/Friday and then twice a week after that! Twice weekly Gilly! *dances*

This way to Lady Dedlock... )

Soooo, I passed a French test with full marks! *is vair vair proud*

On teh proudness subject, I came runner-up in that writing competition thing! 33,000 people entered it and there were only 500 runners-up and 7 main winners that got their work published, but I get a fluffy/light-up pen for my efforts! *is still proud* My mother worked it out that 1.5% of people that entered got a prize.

I've finished Bleak House (the book) now... and I really want to go shriek about it on here, but I'm going to make Meredithy watch it (the tv adaptation) in January when she gets it on her American channels so I can't. But OMG!!

And Gilly will do such a wonderful job as Lady Dedlock...the promos for it are on the BBC channels now and I die of lust/love/admiration/everything else possible for her and she looks like she'll be perfection acting wise. Again. In the little promo thing, she faints and I shriek "Why teh hell is no-one catching her?!?!" Every single magazine I've read that has an article on it (ok, so the same magazine mentioned this point in several different ways. Eeeee!!) has talked about her being the stand-out performance and excellent etc, so I'm hoping for a BAFTA for her for it. If that made sense ::)

Anyway, must go, need to make fan-girly bookmark ;)

Just for the record: Gillian Anderson is love. And I love her. And the new Bleak House actual official page is up over at the BBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/bleakhouse/ which you must must must go and look at because Gillian is just teh sex and stunning and while you're there, watch the clip.

Gilly darling says "Bored to death of this place, bored to death of my life, bored to death of myself." and she is playing the character of Lady Dedlock. I'm making myself read the book; so far I'm halfway through and Lady Dedlock has had OMGteh-huge breakdown/crying thing so that WILL be in the tv adaptation or the screenplay guys will die.

Anyway. Weekend was dull. Am going to go have coffee and a big slab of chocolate cake. Yum.

Before I go, how sweet is this bouncing blue thing for my mood? *lurves him*
