I am actually the most useless person in the world, Y/Y?

Okay, so, I've managed to be in the Sixth Form, as in physically there and in classes, for a grand total of 9 out of 27 possible days. MY HEALTH FTW, basically (except, you know, not).

And then, right, I was going next door to say happy birthday to the little girl there because her family had invited us all round for cake* and things (she's 3 today, in case you wanted to know) and in the process of 'going next door', I somehow managed to fall flat down in a stupidly ungainly way, landing on my hands and knees in what I considered to be a unnecessarily painful way, and have managed to bugger up my foot, jar my knee, hurt my wrists and generally wander away feeling sick and shaky. Suffice it to say, I turned around and hobbled home trying not to cry in the middle of the beginning to main street of the town. FROM FALLING DOWN GOING NEXT DOOR. NEXT DOOR.

I need to be removed from other people for the good of their sanity, really.

However, I'm going to school until Thursday this week, even if it kills me, and then I'm being forced on a plane to Spain, with my mother, my aunt, my grandmother and my sister, which will be...well, 'enforced holidaying' is how I'd describe it, so take from that what you will.

And then it will soon be November, and then that's nearly December, which is nearly Christmas. Fa la la la la, la la la la etc. Shut up, I'm feeling yuletide-y.

* To add insult to literal injury, my mother tells me it was a really good cake: chocolate sponge with good chocolate icing in the middle, that kind of moist-yet-good sponge as well, with chocolate buttons on the top with smarties scattered around on the plate. D:

HOW ARE ALL OF YOU? TELL ME THINGS PLZ.

I am pining a little for Top Gear. It needs to be back on my tellybox now; how am I supposed to cope with new, weekly pretty, funny goodness?

Yes, I have other fandoms currently airing. Shut up. They don't count right now (well, they do, BUT STILL.)

It also annoys me that the BBC clips on the website are edited. I wanna see the big races and the Caterham challenge in full, damnit!

Anyway. There is a fic in my head in which Green Wing gets smushed with Top Gear and there are competitions and other things and WAH I HAVE NO TIME TO WRITE IT.

Why must my school insist on giving me tests so often? I have this Friday off though, so I sense fic-writing or mammoth amounts of revision. Fic, I suspect, will win out. It usually does.

-> Just a note: I've been a little bit weirdly busy over the last few days, what with being ill and then making a Mothers' Day pressie and then my sister's birthday party and the preparations and then my sister's actual birthday and then catch-up work from being ill, so I may not have commented on everything I should have done. I've tried to go back and catch-up but if I've missed anything, poke me and I'll go rectify that!

- Life On Mars in an hour! *dance of glee*

Yes, I know this post had no point. Use the comments for whatever nefarious purposes strike you as necessary.

(Also, my icon and the subject for this post are two of my favourite TG quotes EVER IN THE WORLD.)

First of all: (in which I abuse capslock and my mother makes wonderful drunk comments)
Ahem.

I want Christopher Eccleston back as my Doctor now, plzkthx.

And while I'm ranting about Doctor Who, what ever happened to the script quality? It was like they decided to go from this intelligent, moving, well-acted genius first come-back series to this abysmal heap of shite that was thought too much of itself, not thought through enough and just not what I had come to expect.

Third series, you have damn well got some making up to do to me.

On a completely unrelated note: I just spell-checked this thing, and where I've written 'whassisname', the spell-check is offering me 'viciousness'. I think not.

I have reached my userpic limit for the first time in ever.

It is all Top Gear's fault.

Is it Friday yet?

And Life On Mars returns to me on Tuesday! But what shall I do until summer and more TG?

I suppose there's the stupidly promising Top Gear Comic Relief to look forward to...I dread to think what the outcome of that one will be!

More television-ness:

Seriously. How did I live without these programmes?

I'm glad you all liked your Five Things lists! They were monumentally fun to write.

Also, the spell-check is telling me that it doesn't like 'programme'. I am torn between being ashamed and thinking I may actually be right: someone please tell me how to spell it properly?

I feel I need to do something of a televisual round-up of recent days. This will involve fangirling, excessive use of italics and also a little bit of capslock. You have been warned!

Plus, spoilers for both episodes of things, made clear in the lj-cuts.

I want a Life On Mars icon now. And a Top Gear icon.

Are you all having a good week?
