mooging: (This is a question that should plague me)

I am pining a little for Top Gear. It needs to be back on my tellybox now; how am I supposed to cope with new, weekly pretty, funny goodness?

Yes, I have other fandoms currently airing. Shut up. They don't count right now (well, they do, BUT STILL.)

It also annoys me that the BBC clips on the website are edited. I wanna see the big races and the Caterham challenge in full, damnit!

Anyway. There is a fic in my head in which Green Wing gets smushed with Top Gear and there are competitions and other things and WAH I HAVE NO TIME TO WRITE IT.

Why must my school insist on giving me tests so often? I have this Friday off though, so I sense fic-writing or mammoth amounts of revision. Fic, I suspect, will win out. It usually does.

-> Just a note: I've been a little bit weirdly busy over the last few days, what with being ill and then making a Mothers' Day pressie and then my sister's birthday party and the preparations and then my sister's actual birthday and then catch-up work from being ill, so I may not have commented on everything I should have done. I've tried to go back and catch-up but if I've missed anything, poke me and I'll go rectify that!

- Life On Mars in an hour! *dance of glee*

Yes, I know this post had no point. Use the comments for whatever nefarious purposes strike you as necessary.

(Also, my icon and the subject for this post are two of my favourite TG quotes EVER IN THE WORLD.)

Tellybox is an adorable word.

Top Gear Winter Olympics was so awesome ♥ I'm at a bit of a loss Sunday nights now. Don't know what to do without Top Gear.

Top Gear/Green Wing fic does sound very good.

I really really need to get my act together and send you those Spooks videos. Make me feel guitly about not sending them and how having them would ease the pain over no more Top Gear and I'll be better at remembering. Probably.

Also I may have ideas for Roslin/Juliet crossovers. By which I mean: There should be PWPs written about the two of them and I intend to inflict the idea on you people till it gets written.

Hope you're feeling better now.

That may be a bribe. Never mind.

Until then, I shall have the Top Gear/Green Wing fic to tide me over.

I tend to get through Sunday nights okay - hi, Grey's Anatomy, I shall watch you now! - and then Monday feels all empty and void of OT3 goodness.

I WISH TO ENCOURAGE TG/GW WITH ALL THE STRENGTH IN MY HEART. (Or something.)

And I also miss Top Gear. Six weeks?! Pah.

IT WILL.

Pah, revision.

OH, PLEASE WRITE THE GREEN WING/TOP GEAR CROSSOVER.

PLEASE.

Anything to forget Dido-the-creepy-and-insane. ANYTHING.

Anything to forget Dido-the-creepy-and-insane - We've just reached Book 4 in Classics and my Classics teacher likes Dido and spends a lot of time defending her.

NO NO DIDO IS THE CRAZY ONE. AENEAS WAS NOT WRONG. WHEN A WOMAN THROWS HERSELF AT HIM IN A CAVE AND SHE HAS SHOWN NO SIGNS OF BEING CRAZY IT IS NOT HIS FAULT IF THEY DO SEX.

I blame the nymphs.

My brain wants me to write Juno/Venus. WHY IS THIS IN MY HEAD?

BUT YAYE GREEN WING.

My Latin teacher isn't in love with Dido.

She's in love with Virgil.

It's all quite creepy - The Aeneid is one of her five favourite books.

*boggles*

My Latin teacher is in love with Vergil too - only he has a direct line to Vergil in his head, as well as various other Roman authors.

Ahh, Latin teachers.

Ha! Beware teh magickal powerz of LATIN.

Ahem. What other GCSEs are you doing, besides Latin and Classics?

From: [identity profile] moogle62.livejournal.com
Other GCSEs: Historu and French.

And, you know, English (Lit. and Lang.), Maths, all the dread Sciences and Religious.

You?

Date: 2007-03-23 03:43 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] moogle62.livejournal.com
Um. History, clearly. I'm not sure what Historu would be.

When you say that, do you mean you're doing the R.S. short course or the full GCSE?

All together I'm doing: English Lit., English Lang., Maths, Double Award Science, Latin, German, R.S. (full GCSE), ICT and Geography, BUT doing Geography instead of History is seriously the thing I REGRET MOST IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.

I HATE Geography so much, it's indescribable.

Oh, God, I'm only taking short course R.S. I despise it with a fiery passion.

That could be because my class is hideous and the teacher is highly-strung and opinionated and marked me down on an essay I wrote because I concluded that it wasn't wrong to be gay (and, yes, I know it's because of that - she wrote a little note in the margin saying she didn't agree with my conclusion) and in general, RARGH.

I couldn't have taken Geography. My brain would have exploded.

No wonder that you don't like it, then. I don't exactly know what you do in short course R.S., but in the full GCSE we do Judaism and Christianity, which I find interesting anyway, but I'm also in the smaller R.S. group, and our teacher is so, so incredibly awesome and funny and relaxed and basically we just make notes and do questions in a really leisurely way, with lots of joking and gossiping and stuff.

But Geography kills me. It is horrible and I'm crap at it and our teacher is very nice, but also THE WORST TEACHER IN THE WORLD, so I have no idea how I'm going to get the A I'm predicted, especially as the Geography exams are on he same days as the Maths exams, those being my two worst subjects.

But that would be my luck. OF COURSE I'M NOT BITTER.

And I really hope this doesn't sound stalker-y, and you obviously don't have to tell me, but you mentioned going to York a couple of entries back - I take it this means you live in Yorkshire? Anywhere near Hampsthwaite?

You will do fine in your exams. Maths is crappy anyway, and the only technique I have found that even vaguely stops me from hyperventilating with fear when confronted with a Maths paper (okay, fine, if not completely stop then at least slow down the terror) is to rely a lot on short term memory, because Maths just doesn't STAY IN MY BRAIN, and try to do each question at a time, without thinking OH GOD SO MANY MORE QUESTIONS AND WHAT I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING.

As you can see, this technique works wonders. /sarcasm.

I do live in Yorkshire, yes. I...have no idea where Hampsthwaite is though. MY GEOGRAPHICAL KNOWLEDGE IS VERY VERY BAD STOP JUDGING ME. However, according to the AA route planner, I'm about 40 miles away. I have just discovered, via the same place (HAHA VIA MEANS STREET - shut up, random Latin just falls into my conversation), that Hampsthwaite is near Harrogate, and I was born in Harrogate!

This comment is spectacularly rubbish, sorry.

AHA, interesting...Do you have a Yorshire-y accent, then? I love accents. *is random*

OH GOD PLEASE SHARE MY MATHS-HATE. PLEASE. I'm counting down the lessons of Maths I have left to cope with, and there is only 14 left! 14 IN MY LIFE! This fills me with so much joy.

You get your results on the 23rd August, too, right?

(I'm sorry, I like being nosy into people's lives and asking random questions. XD)

I...don't really have a Yorkshire accent (I keep being told I sound like a British bitch, which is nice, I think - I take odd things as compliments), but I sound icky next to a person from further South.

I mean, I don't have rounded vowels like the lovely people from the South. If I could sound like anyone, it would be Emma Thompson or a female Stephen Fry. Or Miranda Richardson. Lovely, clear, British-ness.

When do you break up for study leave? MATHS OMG IS NEARLY OVER FOREVER!!! GLEEE!!

Yes, I get my results that day. (Random questions are good, don't worry.)

In fact, I have a question: why ask how close I am to Hampsthwaite?

Hmm, I suppose I sound like that. I've been told repeatedly I have a 'posh' voice; I'll have to do a voice post sometime and you can tell me objectively. XD

We break up for study leave on May 14th. What about you?

In fact, I have a question: why ask how close I am to Hampsthwaite?

Ah! Have I piqued your interest? *attempts to convey weird campy eyebrow-raise over the internet*

I wanted to know if you lived anywhere near [livejournal.com profile] rainfire_dancer. (Who, incidentally, I might be visiting this summer, but that's another story.)

Doooo a voice post! *glee*

(Ooooh, visits to lj-friends are fun! [livejournal.com profile] missfoxie is coming to stay with me for the second time over Easter.)

We break up on May 11th - it seems terrifyingly close!

Oooh, you're right, IT'S ONLY 7 WEEKS AND ABOUT 4 DAYS UNTIL MY FIRST GCSE.

AAAAHHHHHHHH.

I've been wanting to do a voice post for ages, but I'm afraid people will think my voice is stupid, or I'll just deteriorate into a lot of 'um's and 'ah's and general crazy rambling.

But mostly it's just that I've been incredibly lazy. XD I'll attempt to do one tomorrow, though.

Sue White would SO sexually harass Richard Hammond.

And Jeremy would be all jealous of Mac's smooth charm (and OMG, you could have Kristin Scott Thomas involved, and Jeremy gets crank because Mac charms Teh Kristin), and Guy would be insanely competitive with Jeremy.....

I SOWYY, I KNOW THIS IS NOT HELPING BUT ITS SUCH CRACKTASTIC FUN!!
