By which I mean, hello, I am at the house of the lovely rionaleonhart. (Those of you who also have her friended will be aware of this. Possibly this will have something to do with the insane entry we made in her journal at We Should Have Been Asleep o'clock last night, but there we go. ANYWAY THAT IS NOT WHY I AM POSTING. I apologise whole-heartedly to you poor long-suffering people who are friends of both me and Riona, and are members of derrenbrownfic, because this will now be the third time you have seen this announcement, but NEVER MIND, this apparently is worth pimping the hell out of in all possible locations.

rionaleonhart and I are co-writing an epic and sprawling fic about the amazing time-travelling adventures of Derren Brown as the Doctor's companion (yes, really), and we have just posted the first part in this fic's BRAND NEW COMMUNITY, andtimetravel.

IN WORDS THAT ARE NOT ABOUT andtimetravel, and which are also slightly redundant if you read that entry I linked to at the start of this post, we have been watching copious amounts of Merlin (with a bonus reipan - er, she was in the room with us, not on the television, I should point out) and also playing ridiculous video games - FINAL FANTASY XII AND WE ♥ KATAMARI WHAT WHAT WHAT AM I EVEN DOING WITH MY LIFE - and it has all been brilliant. This is despite British Rail's best efforts to not allow me to get here, as the train I was on spectacularly failed to remain working and we were all kicked off at some ridiculous station that was not where I wanted to go, and then graciously allowed to get on another train that was going where I wanted, but it had the unfortunate disadvantage of having people from four different trains travelling on it, and so I had to stand up with my bags for an hour and a half, ajdjadjkaskja FAIL BRITISH PUBLIC TRANSPORT. And then, and then, it got me to where I had to legitimately change trains too late for my ticket to work, so I had to buy another one. ANGER. But I am here now, and it is awesome (andtimetravel andtimetravel andtimetravel) so that's all right.

What we are going to do now is go into town and make faintly embarrassing purchases. What I love about the internets is that 'faintly embarrassing purchases' loses all kind of terrifying sinister and/or sexual connotations and instead means WE ARE GOING TO BUY ROBIN HOOD AND MERLIN DVDS, LOLOL WE ARE SUCH CHILDREN.

I was watching Green Wing today. (What follows has spoilers for, er, the whole shebang, just to warn people who are staying away from GW spoilers for whatever reason).

Er, in non-Green Wing related stuff:

- I have a tub of Ben and Jerry's 'Half Baked' ice-cream in the freezer, waiting for me.

- My mother bought me the first season of Grey's Anatomy (my guilty pleasure show, shh) on dvd, which I shall watch with the aforementioned ice-cream

- Tomorrow, I attempt to make an omelette for dinner.

- Does anyone know why the UK and the US differ on the length of Grey's Anatomy's first season? The US sells it as nine episodes long (the original first season) while the UK sticks the first five episodes of the second season in the first season boxset. Hmmm.

- ED BYRNE ON MOCK THE WEEK AGAIN THIS THURSDAY.

- You remember those fic requests you all made back in June? Yeah, I'm going to try and get through those before next Friday, so keep an eye out!

- I'm going to try and re-vamp this journal over the next week, in that I want to have a header, damn it, and I've got the time on my hands this week to try and make that happen. Any tips/advice?

FINALLY. Good God, this post is about, what, two or three weeks behind? Argh. Here I go blathering about OotP film, with two quite vague references to Deathly Hallows but no out-and-out spoilers. Allusions, that's the word. A touch tl;dr, I apologise.


So, I'm glad about that because OotP is my favourite of the books. Please, for the love of God, someone come and talk to me about the film in the comments? I might die otherwise. My mother has passed her capacity to listen to me go GAY GAY GAY HOTTTT, and I have not surpassed my capacity of screeching, and dear Lord, I might have to go and see it a third time.

Oh, we also went to see the Simpsons Movie on the spur of the moment, afterwards, and I enjoyed it much more than I expected to - it did hold up quality on the big screen, and it did make me laugh, which is really all I wanted.

All in all, AWESOME DAY THANKS. How are you all? Thanks for putting up with my Potter explosion ;)
