Julian was down to play Lucifer in the TV version of The Vesuvius Club, when it looked like it was going to happen! I am so annoyed Mark decided to give up on it because the BBC wanted to tone it down too much because it would've been SO FUCKING EPIC! OMG.

SERIOUSLY? I THOUGHT THAT WAS JUST IN MY HEAD.

Also, I thought Gatiss was up for the role himself at one point?

ANYWAY, THE POINT IS: THEY'RE FRIENDS. AWESOME. :DDDDD (and, also, FAIL for the BBC for not allowing this to happen)

I think people just assumed he'd do the role himself, but Julian was in the frame for ages; since at least June '07. And they've worked together on the radio too. So yeah, they're friends...yay! I'm so jealous of Mark cos he gets to be BFFs with David Tennant too. ;)

But yeah, just thinking of the sort of scenes Julian would've had to have filmed for it nearly makes my brain melt. SO MUCH FAIL, BBC. :(

Aww!

Is the new book good? I'm waiting for it to come out in paperback...

I, er, assume it is good: I have it, I have read, like, the first few chapters, but Lucifer being old made me so inexplicably upset that I couldn't stop crying enough to actually read the book. I am going to have another go on the train to see Loz a week on Monday, so I can let you know then!

(I don't know why I think that reading it on public transport will be a good thing, considering just how much I cried, but NEVER MIND)
