Whee, lovely Baftas!

For this post, I shall type up the notes as they appear in my notepad although I shall also attempt to make them more legible and slightly more coherant. I've bolded the name of the award and the winner, so you can skim read it for that, and then I've just added really nonsensical commentary from my notes.

And I may have got some of the award names slightly shortened, and not heard the names of winners properly (recording the film, for example, and then forgetting the name of the writer) so really, if you want to know things, a list is probably the best bet for you.

This is somewhat pointless, over-uses gleeful adjectives, and I am somewhat rude about people I don't like. I am sorry!

Also, I'll screencap the last hour (the best bit, with Best Actor/Actress/Film) as this is the only hour I managed to record the right channel for. *looks vaguely ashamed* I'll do a picspam of it later - this took a while to write up and I think I need to lie down (if I am ill in half-term, I will not be happy.)

Helen cried. I have to go and be a puddle of mush now, but she looked amazing and wonderful and I love her.

Expect coherancy (possibly) tomorrow, with a picture review of only the last section as I managed to record the wrong channel up 'till the News break. I do, however, have pages of scrawled notes that may be of interest!

And Top Gear. Oh my God. It was the most brilliant thing in the world.

To conclude: TONIGHT WAS MADE OF GLEE.

It came to my attention with my last, fear-filled, post that some of you are unaware of the incredible wonderment that is a house hippo. So watch this:

Baftas tonight! *hyperventilates with glee* Also, the Top Gear-goes-to-America special, which I am told should be rather good.

To keep me occupied today, I have decided to pinch a thing from[personal profile] rionaleonhart, who is generally awesome and made brilliant use of this on many an occasion:

Give me a character (or multiple characters, or a pairing, or a theory, or a ridiculous AU, or anything you like, really) from a fandom (er, preferably one that I'm familiar with. If you don't know whether I know a fandom or not, feel free to ask. Crossovers are absolutely fine), and a theme to go with it (by 'a theme' I mean anything that will give me some idea of where I'm going - be as vague or as specific as you want to be), and I'll write you a one-sentence fic. You may make as many requests as you like.

I hope you are all pleased that I survived the night in the room of horrible noises.

I really, really love Amazon sometimes. One of these times is today. See, I ordered shinies on Thursday and they got here today. I wasn't expecting them until Monday. *dance of pure joy*

One of these items was the complete Prime Suspect boxset. The other was the Channel 4 drama, Elizabeth I. If you are sensing a pattern, and your Moog-love radar is bleeping like it's about to explode, you are right.

And I didn't open the parcel until 20 minutes ago. I used it as incentive to do Maths coursework, in which I simplified a hideous piece of algebra that took the width of an A4 page to write out, and then a History Mock exam paper, and then Physics.

And now it is time for CSI: NY and then some Helen Mirren fangirling! I need a Helen Mirren icon.

Note: I apologise in advance for either tomorrow night or Monday. It is the BAFTAS tomorrow. BAFTAS. I adore the things. It means I sit with a tub of Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice-cream and a note-pad and gleefully squeal over the films and the pretty people. Judge me not. I also type up my (often slightly giddy and usually vaguely incoherant) notes and I shall be plonking them here, as I did last year. Although this year I shall be dvd-recording the glorious event, so there may be accompanying pictures!

Yes, shut up. I love the Baftas more than anything else. I cannot watch the Oscars. The Oscars are all non-talent orientated. The Baftas are amazing and are my yearly drug of choice.

YAYE BAFTAS OMG.

ETA: Oooh, also it is my half-term this week and this also happens to be a week of [community profile] femslash_today's porn battle! Yaye also for crazy femslash pr0n writing!
