Today, my mother and I did some Christmas shopping. This involved spending an hour in Toys R Us. I can now say that if I ever hear that Nutcracker music again, someone will die.

Noooo, you did not sound bitter and snappy....or at least the dense creature that is me did not pick up on that. I am bitter at Fate/God/whatever deity might be in charge of this messed-up world on your behalf with regards to the health-related things that keep trying to smite you. It is all so unfair.

PS- It does win at all things! I have even ordered the soundtrack because I'm utterly obsessed with 'Wish Me Luck As You Wave Me Goodbye' and especially the film's version of 'Bye Bye Blackbird'. That film is so funny and clever and scholarly (though it makes me furious that I did not go to Oxford. WOES.)
