Nov. 21st, 2007 03:51 pmToday, my mother and I did some Christmas shopping. This involved spending an hour in Toys R Us. I can now say that if I ever hear that Nutcracker music again, someone will die.
ALSO AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, I BOUGHT PRICK UP YOUR EARS.
GAY OLDMAN.
HURRAH.

PS- OMG, I LOVE the film 'The History Boys' so much!! I watch it at least twice a month. It makes me feel all happy to be scholarly and just uplifted in general (though ending is so sad!).

Date: 2007-11-21 04:56 pm (UTC)PS- It does win at all things! I have even ordered the soundtrack because I'm utterly obsessed with 'Wish Me Luck As You Wave Me Goodbye' and especially the film's version of 'Bye Bye Blackbird'. That film is so funny and clever and scholarly (though it makes me furious that I did not go to Oxford. WOES.)

Date: 2007-11-22 07:33 pm (UTC)I had a test today actually (I get them sent to me): it wasn't too nasty but still. Nnnngh.
Is it just me or is the amount of set text we have to know for the exam, like, really worrying?

Date: 2007-11-22 07:52 pm (UTC)What texts are you doing again??? I am so bad at remembering what everyone on my f-list is doing for what! XD

Date: 2007-11-21 10:38 pm (UTC)After watching, I have come to the conclusion that Gary Oldman should kiss men more often and should wander around clad only in a rumpled white shirt more often. :D

Date: 2007-11-21 11:04 pm (UTC)Also, have you watched Bright Young Things yet?
(Replying to texts is still not really a thing, just so you know that I'm not ignoring you; I wish I could just start bloody working already, so I wouldn't feel silly buying frivolous things like phone credit. FTL. Anyway, it's still lovely to get the texts, if you don't mind my radio silence! ♥)
ILU MOOG. I was thinking, we should have a housephone chat again sometime soon, maybe? If you want. xxxxxxxxx

Date: 2007-11-22 08:48 am (UTC)I have not watched Bright Young Things yet (on the day I said I would, I got somewhat sidetracked by something and I can't remember what, but I shall do that! Probably tomorrow! - Tonight I should watch The Street, as my mother tells me there are gays and the plot looks to be lifted from Brokeback and plonked into building-class Britain.)
ILU LOZZLE. ♥ We should have a housephone chat again sometime soon. When would be a good time for you?
