I just made an omelette!
And ate it!
And it was quite nice!
Hurrah!
(Anyone who has ever witnessed me in a kitchen will know that this is nothing short of a miracle.)

Date: 2007-08-26 07:40 pm (UTC)One is a pair of cheap red ballet pump things, that are plastic and don't fit exactly right but they look pretty and I love them, and I currently have a huge blister on the back of my ankle because I wore them in the heat, but I don't care.
Another is a pair of faded green suade-y heels, with a little faux-antique-lace type trim in places.
The last is a pair of black suade-y heels with a bar across (I forget the actual term, but never mind) that are pretty.
And my grandmother has just given me money with the express instruction that I am to go and buy myself a pair of boots (she worries about my feet in the cold Richmond winters).
Yayes?
(Now I shall go and watch The Importance of Being Ernest on the tellybox)

Date: 2007-08-26 07:54 pm (UTC)I love red ballet pumps, I have a pair. They cause me heel!agony too but like you, I can forgive as they are just so pretty. The second pair you describe sound absolutely gorgeous, as do the black suede pair. I sincerely hope I get to see them, either in person or via that contraption called a digital camera (see how subtle I am?). ;)
Aww, I like your grandmother for this act of kindness and enabling some snazzy boots to be purchased! Bless.

Date: 2007-08-26 10:14 pm (UTC)They will look so lovely on you, especially with a pretty knee-length skirt. When I visit I will do my best to refrain from stealing them. ;P I have two pairs of shoes quite like that, in red & black, but with a slightly lower heel and in leather. Oh, Thirties-style pumps, I adore thee....
(What fabric is that bow made of by the way? I cannot tell.)

Date: 2007-08-26 10:32 pm (UTC)I do love them, though I fear they may cripple me if I wear them for too long. This is but a fleeting concern, as what is agonising foot pain when compared to owning those shoes?

I have so many shoes that I can barely walk/hardly ever wear but still love because they are so incredibly pretty. I just had to own them. I have a stunning pair of black suede peep-toe platforms with tiny quilted suede bows stitched onto the heels that I spent £75 and have only worn once, because they kill my toes and are far, far too beautiful.
Aww, I am so happy for your shoe love! :D
