I just made an omelette!

And ate it!

And it was quite nice!

Hurrah!

(Anyone who has ever witnessed me in a kitchen will know that this is nothing short of a miracle.)

Hooray for egg-based dishes!

I hope you are eating those scrambled eggs with a comb and out of a shoe, or I'll be most disappointed. XD

Oh, you've just reminded me! I bought three pairs of new shoes, are you proud?

One is a pair of cheap red ballet pump things, that are plastic and don't fit exactly right but they look pretty and I love them, and I currently have a huge blister on the back of my ankle because I wore them in the heat, but I don't care.

Another is a pair of faded green suade-y heels, with a little faux-antique-lace type trim in places.

The last is a pair of black suade-y heels with a bar across (I forget the actual term, but never mind) that are pretty.

And my grandmother has just given me money with the express instruction that I am to go and buy myself a pair of boots (she worries about my feet in the cold Richmond winters).

Yayes?

(Now I shall go and watch The Importance of Being Ernest on the tellybox)

Ooooooh, I am extremely proud!! Definitely YAYE. ♥

I love red ballet pumps, I have a pair. They cause me heel!agony too but like you, I can forgive as they are just so pretty. The second pair you describe sound absolutely gorgeous, as do the black suede pair. I sincerely hope I get to see them, either in person or via that contraption called a digital camera (see how subtle I am?). ;)

Aww, I like your grandmother for this act of kindness and enabling some snazzy boots to be purchased! Bless.

Ooh, I have found a picture of the black heels (on the Marks and Spencers website), so I can show you them!

The red ballet pumps and the green heels were both from TK Maxx. I have such high standards in shoes.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THEY ARE SO EXQUISITE! *squeaks with pure delight*

They will look so lovely on you, especially with a pretty knee-length skirt. When I visit I will do my best to refrain from stealing them. ;P I have two pairs of shoes quite like that, in red & black, but with a slightly lower heel and in leather. Oh, Thirties-style pumps, I adore thee....

(What fabric is that bow made of by the way? I cannot tell.)

Being useless, I have zero idea what fabric the bow is. Er, er, it feels a bit like crepe paper, if that helps? I AM RUBBISH AT ALL THINGS.

I do love them, though I fear they may cripple me if I wear them for too long. This is but a fleeting concern, as what is agonising foot pain when compared to owning those shoes?

Does the fabric have little lines that run down the fabric width-ways? If it does, and it is fairly stiff, it's grosgrain ribbon.

You're very much saying such things to the right person. I COMPLETELY CONCUR. I have so many shoes that I can barely walk/hardly ever wear but still love because they are so incredibly pretty. I just had to own them. I have a stunning pair of black suede peep-toe platforms with tiny quilted suede bows stitched onto the heels that I spent £75 and have only worn once, because they kill my toes and are far, far too beautiful.

Aww, I am so happy for your shoe love! :D

(I remember a certain two girls in pyjamas cooking a roast chicken. Well, I say cooking, 'repeatedly stabbing' a roast chicken seems far more accurate.)

BRAVO!! It is not just sinfully amazing brownie-cookies that you can make now! Though I know which I would rather consume.....

PS- *glomps Bernard & Manny*

(Shh, that chicken worked fine. Okay, it may have had puncture marks, BUT YOU CAN'T TASTE STAB MARKS ON CHICKENS. *crazy eyes*)

I can now cook a meal! You know, if you count omelette as a main-course and brownie-cookies as a dessert.

PS: They are happy to be glomped (Manny says it's hot in the worm!)

(NO, I DON'T SUPPOSE ONE CAN TASTE THEM. And no one has died yet from eating that meal.)

That is 100% a proper meal! 1 savoury and 1 sweet; perfect. Though I am the girl who would consider a dessert as a proper meal, but still.... ;)

(Well he's not allowed out of the worm. It's not like I shall swap with him, as I'm far too busy shoving ice-cream in little boy's blazer pockets.)

(I have also not died from my omelette. Culinary career so far going well.)

(Manny would like to know if you are still co-writing the book with yourself, or if he can use one of the typewriters now.)

(This comment is brought to you by the over-use of bracket association.)

(The milk-fed gimp can indeed use one of the typewriters now. I have finished my novel and am now going to investigate the wonder that is 'Life Cry', because you always know you're in for a good time when there's a polar bear bleeding on the label....)

(Brackets = FTW. Though have been using lots of these doohickes lately ->[] )
