May. 21st, 2006 05:13 pmSundays are nasty things, but I have chosen to ignore this and the Classics coursework I need to do in order to present people with this!
Um, spoilers for S2 of House if you don't live in America!
Cuddy:
Having scouted Television Without Pity and
house_cuddy I have gathered that Cuddy is getting her own plotline and that it involves House himself! And there is Cuddy's bare flesh and angst and lingering looks and total Unresolved SEXSEXSEX!!! Sexual Tension between them! And the finalé is coming up and there is angst and confusion! These are all very, very good things.
Finishing the draft of the goddamn History coursework:
This has been haunting me and is very, very dull. I have to study the history of my town and good God, I do not care. At all. However, at the moment, I am up to date with this....and can now go and concentrate on my Classics coursework.
The good ship House/Cuddy:
I have always, always been a House/Wilson shipper. And I still am. This is not to say that I disliked House/Cuddy, in fact it was my second ship of love for the show. Now, after reading all these joyous things? On a par with House/Wilson. I would be very, very happy if either of these ships ever actually happened. More so if it involved the sex.
Still having Easter Eggs left:
Yes, it's true, I still have Easter eggs. And not just any Easter eggs, I have two Cadbury Delight's (half eaten, but never mind that) and a Thornton's. This is very very good and I intend to scoff them with pleasure. In the chocolate way, not...oh never mind.
The wonder that is the Tenth Doctor:
First, he's pretty. Second, he is played by David Tennant, who is pretty. I adore Doctor Who, just above and beyond the amount that I ever thought I would but last year and Christopher Eccleston managed to convert me into a squealing, squealing fangirl. This year, in my opinion, has yet to reach the dizzy heights of last year but only because last year was superb every single week (with the exception of the Slitheen.). This year, it all seems a little disjointed and the characters do shift about a bit, but it is all wonderful anyway. And as for the wonder that is the Tenth Doctor, he has now become equal to the Ninth for me. The angst sold me; look at the pretty angst in that picture. Angst. *happy sigh* And it's so shippy (Doctor/Rose. Shut up.) and I love it and especially the pretty angst of Ten.
School holidays:
There is one week left before half-term and I only have a little bit of coursework to shove out of the way. I know I'll have tons of catch up stuff to do, because of being teh ill (still not 100% but I'll soldier on. Hee.) but still. There is the feeling of running towards a week of nothingness and that is always a good thing. Plus, the exams are over and there is less stress and....ahhh.
Tentative steps into a new fandom:
Battlestar Galactica, to be exact. Ok, so I've never seen a single episode of it but so many people around me (*coughMEREDITH!*cough*) have fallen for it so I've been poking teh interweb with sticks over the last few days to see if I will like it. And then I found this woman above. She is the favourite of the people that watch this show, and she is so pretty! And I found angst...and saw clips of her acting and I have to say that I'm a tad smitten. When I have money, I am buying the mini-series. Yes. Can people tell me about her character please? I know she is called Laura Roslin (I think) and is President of wherever the show is set...but seriously, anything else that won't completely spoil me is welcomed with open arms! I'm afraid to go looking at the words of websites on her, in case of massive spoilers.
And thus endeth that. Ten screencap from
rainyd, House/Cuddy and Cuddy screencaps from
housecaps and Roslin picture from my folders somewhere.
I don't know what those pictures will do to my layout! Never mind, just ignore any ick.

Date: 2006-05-28 07:09 pm (UTC)Here there are Laura colour bars: Over here! (http://community.livejournal.com/chamalla_dreams/109463.html) and there is a stressed!Laura one...do you know which episodes the pictures of her with her head in her hands and then her head on the desk (Laura *headdesk*. Hee!) are from? You see, my friend and I have been looking and we have come up with nothing...
I bet I'm coming off nice and sane in my first couple of comments to you, what with the being online at the exact moment you post things and then asking you random things...sorry about that!

Date: 2006-05-28 07:23 pm (UTC)Right, the one of her with her head in her hands is from the eppy Hand of God and I have momentarily forgotten which ep the headdesk photo is from. I know it's the one where she's just collapsed onto her desk due to teh cancer and too many pills............ooh! It's an episode called Six Degrees of Separation I think.
"what with the being online at the exact moment you post things and then asking you random things"- oh contrare, I like that about you, so very punctual. ;D

Date: 2006-05-28 07:28 pm (UTC)Poor Laura though, with the collapsing and the cancer...not goodness.
Here is another example of my promptness...I spend waaay too much time online. And sanity is overrated. Who needs sanity when there is Laura? Exactly. I need more Laura icons.

Date: 2006-05-28 07:36 pm (UTC)I need Laura far more than sanity, tis true.
Well, the best places to look for Laura icons are: my user pics (oh so many!), the Chamalla Dreams comm, Marys Bookshelf and it's good to investigate the user pics of people on those comms too. I'd send you a big load of them if I could put them in a zip file right now.
