Obligatory Birthday Post time.

A SONIC SCREWDRIVER. MY SISTER GAVE ME  A SONIC SCREWDRIVER. YOU KNOW WHO LOOKS AT A SCREWDRIVER AND THINKS 'THIS COULD BE A BIT MORE SONIC?'

I DO.

SONIC IT UP, BABY.

Ahem. In non-sonic screwdriver related gift items, I was given a snuggly new dressing gown (grey) which I am wearing on myself right now, two new pairs of slipper socks (one pair has tassels!) and some pants. I have not had any new pairs of pants for two whole years (oh dear, overshare), so I was Very Happy to see new pants.

I don't quite know how I got on to the topic of my Extreme Failure to Buy Underwear, so we shall move on.

Also, I was given BRIDESHEAD REVISITED. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HAPPY I WAS TO GET THAT. Sebastian and Charles make me all kinds of happy and I've never seen the tv version. GO TEAM HOMO!OXFORDS!

Other items now belonging to me:

- The Forsyte Saga (dvd) (Mmm, Damien Lewis)
- CocoRosie - The Adventures of Ghosthorse and Stillborn (cd)
- Jeanette Winterson - The Passion

Also a pair of earrings that are lockets. They are lockets in earring form! How good is that? Very.

I had a cake shaped like the TARDIS with a sugar paper picture of Tennant leaning sluttishly on the door, and I ate his head for my birthday slice :D I HAVE EATEN TENNANT'S HEAD, HOW AWESOME AM I. (not very)

I spent the day in pleasing normality, and then my mother attacked me with scissors to cut my hair (worryingly, she kept cackling as she snipped, but never mind) and then she attacked me with a hoover, claiming she was ridding me of all the loose hair rather than MAIMING MY BACK (she lied). That should be something original to say when people ask me what I did on my seventeenth: I had my back hoovered by a crazy lady. I should also mention that during the hoovering madness, I could barely stand up from laughing, so all is well.

And on Saturday, at my father's house, he gave me Season Three of BSG, which I have yet to see, so all in all, a Very merry Birthingday was had by all. Oooh, also 'Stardust' by Neil Gaiman, which I am greatly enjoying and have seen the film twice.

Shut up now, Moog.

And to you lovely people who wished me birthday glee, thank you all so very much, loverfaces! xxxxx

Grand thanks and praise and glittery sprinkles for Loz and Maddie, both of whom wrote me glorious birthday fics which I shall cherish until the end of time. They can be found here and here, respectively.

:DD at all of youuu.

Thank you! Oh noes, why are you stressed?

A sonic screwdriver is what the Doctor uses on Doctor Who. It's basically a screwdriver with a shiny light on it that somehow seems to help in all situations. My version is a pen shaped like it that shows some kind of secret ink writing. I am such a geek :D
