I really, really love Amazon sometimes. One of these times is today. See, I ordered shinies on Thursday and they got here today. I wasn't expecting them until Monday. *dance of pure joy*
One of these items was the complete Prime Suspect boxset. The other was the Channel 4 drama, Elizabeth I. If you are sensing a pattern, and your Moog-love radar is bleeping like it's about to explode, you are right.
And I didn't open the parcel until 20 minutes ago. I used it as incentive to do Maths coursework, in which I simplified a hideous piece of algebra that took the width of an A4 page to write out, and then a History Mock exam paper, and then Physics.
And now it is time for CSI: NY and then some Helen Mirren fangirling! I need a Helen Mirren icon.
Note: I apologise in advance for either tomorrow night or Monday. It is the BAFTAS tomorrow. BAFTAS. I adore the things. It means I sit with a tub of Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice-cream and a note-pad and gleefully squeal over the films and the pretty people. Judge me not. I also type up my (often slightly giddy and usually vaguely incoherant) notes and I shall be plonking them here, as I did last year. Although this year I shall be dvd-recording the glorious event, so there may be accompanying pictures!
Yes, shut up. I love the Baftas more than anything else. I cannot watch the Oscars. The Oscars are all non-talent orientated. The Baftas are amazing and are my yearly drug of choice.
YAYE BAFTAS OMG.
ETA: Oooh, also it is my half-term this week and this also happens to be a week of
femslash_today's porn battle! Yaye also for crazy femslash pr0n writing!

Date: 2007-02-11 04:37 pm (UTC)Ooooh, I really like The Penelopiad. But then I do like anything and everything she writes, for she is FTW. Gosh, that plan sounds like a glorious day. I wanna do that instead of me reading teh weird books I have to read for English this first half of the semester.

Date: 2007-02-11 04:47 pm (UTC)My plans were slightly changed in that I got distracted by my one-sentence fic meme and Top Gear clips, and have yet to read anything or turn on a dvd. I have, however, written more weird stuff than I thought I would!
Poor darling, trapped in English book land. Are you stopping to watch the Baftas with ice-cream later?

Date: 2007-02-11 05:09 pm (UTC)That is not at all a bad change of plans. It is still much fun. I have not started reading my book yet, and cannot be arsed to do the laundry I meant to do. Instead I am on LJ and singing/dancing along to "Sweet Transvestite" from Rocky Horror.
I will totally be stopping any work or other activity to watch Top Gear at 8 and then the Baftas. There will be ice-cream and possibly some of the mutha-load of chocolate my mother sent me in my online Asda shop yesterday. :D
