I HAVE NOT POSTED SINCE JUNE, oh my effing god. THAT IS HOW POOR MY INTERNET HAS BEEN, LJ. MONTHS OF APPALLING INTERNET SERVICE. GDI INTERNET. - FIRST AND FOREMOST: dear lovely help_japan winners: I am so sorry your fics are not up yet! I am leaving for university in just under a month, and I promise they'll all be up by then. Life/the abject crapness of my internet has conspired to make me seriously, appallingly late at delivering them, but they'll all be up by September 24th if I have to chain myself to my laptop to do it. Thank you all so much for being so endlessly patient, you are clearly the best people. ♥

- Speaking of university, I AM GOING BACK TO IT. jfc I am seriously looking forwards to getting out of my tiny Northern field town. I am off to study Film and Television, and if I can swing it as joint honours when I get there, American Studies too. WHICH MEANS, excitingly, that either this time next year or the year after, I should be spending six months to a year in the USA. I AM LEGIT THE MOST EXCITE. Still can't quite believe that someone actually gave me a place to study movies for some years. MOVIES. THERE IS A WHOLE MODULE ON FANDOM. shdfhdg how have I swung this. \o/

- If my internet holds up (side-eying the fuck out of it, tbqh), I want to make more words about Doctor Who coming back when I have more time, but hdfghgs. COME TALK TO ME ABOUT THAT.

- ALSO I HAVE BEEN TO THE HOME OF THE GLORIOUS laliandra and forced her to bake pony cookies for me while I a) did nothing and b) actively got in the way, because I am an excellent house guest. In return, she did not kick me off her sofa and then sat me down to watch the first episode of White Collar and the first two episodes of Suits. (And then, when Lal had to go out briefly the next morning, she returned to me frantically reading what had been posted so far of the coffee shop au on the Suits kinkmeme. #bestlifechoices) MORE ON THIS WHEN I DO NOT HAVE TO GET OFF THE BED IN ZERO MINUTES.

- STEELHANDS ARRIVED shfhjsdgf. For those of you who have somehow not yet read Havemercy or any of its sequels, this is the fourth book in the series by Jaida Jones (yes, SHOEBOX JAIDA) and Danielle Bennett and in the opening book, it boasts exiled gay magicians, an elite dragon flying corps and MAGICAL MECHANICAL METAL STEAMPUNK DRAGONS. Steelhands is the fourth book in the series and my need to read it is not unlike my need to consume all the chocolate on the planet, so. I am in the middle of rereading the series before I start it though, and I'm currently in the middle of Shadow Magic and CAIUS CAIUS CAIUS BASTION GREYLACE, COME TO MEEEEEEEEE.

I vaguely remember like an entire week of composing the longest, fangirliest squeefest emails to one another. I WAS IN A FANGIRL COMA OR SOMETHING. I wonder how insane Dani & Jaida would think us if they knew. O.o

MARK STRONG. .... I can see it! I still suffer from the mental idea that Royston is much younger though. Maybe because Hal is such a baby? Mark Strong's face, though! With, like, less evil. Have you seen RockNRolla? Becuase UNF, YES. I maybe picture a, yes, squarer face but with sort of amazing hair. Idk why but I think Royston needs AMAZING HAIR, because he's so worried about the tiny tiny amount of maybe-there grey hair, which to me just screams the truth - and the truth is that HIS HAIR IS MATT SMITH LEVELS OF EPIC WITH MAYBE, like, a dash of Eduardo thrown in? Because Royston would keep his hair neat like Wardo. WHAT EVEN AM I THINKING, I AM A RIDICULOUS HUMAN BEING. Anyway he's all self-conscious about it and then Hal just gives him these looks like what the hell is your problem I am stupidly attracted to you right now.

Whenever I think of Prince Wardo I think of him having fake tea parties and wearing Pretty Pretty Princess jewelry with his perfect suit and perfect hair and expensive wristwatch. THAT IS HOW HE IS IN MY HEAD. Idk ideeeek.

Um, okay, so the Dead Like Me fic, what. There was one part where it was like 3:30 in the morning and my head felt like it was stuffed with cotton balls and threatening to split apart and there were tears, and then suddenly it was 4:30 and I legitimately needed to be at work in a half hour. So I spent the morning at work having been up ALL NIGHT LONG, and I hadn't finished the fic and it was ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT. Oh oh, my heart. I still haven't properly commented on it because, I mean, I finished reading and there were just FEELINGS LEAKING ALL OVER MY KEYBOARD and yeah. Ahem.

Oh shit no I haven't read the Time Traveler's Wife AU yet, I have read the book twice and cried all over it and I have read AUs in other fandoms and it ALL SPELLS PAIN. Naturally, the fic is now next on my list.

No seriously, Sweet On You, fjdkal;a. IT HAS CONFLICT. MARK IS BESOTTED AND UNABLE TO DEAL WITH HIS FEELINGS. No really there is actually so much loveliness you have no idea. Well. I'm sure you do because you wrote it but. BUT.
