Oct. 24th, 2006 11:55 amI am alive! See, look, I'm posting.
I do have reasons though; I've been laid up whining in pain for two weeks and this week, I'm doing a ton of work that my teachers have sent me. I do not exaggerate. I have had to make a schedule.
Monday
- Latin: Learn 1st, 2nd and 35 of 3rd conjugation verbs, translate two stories
- Classics: Write a letter to your aunt detailing your (imaginary) visit to the larger theatre in Pompeii, questions on the Pompeian amphitheatre, questions on gladiators.
Tuesday
- Maths: A percentage problems exercise, two probability exercises
- French: Write about your holidays, 10 practice exam questions on the environment
- English: Read and make notes on 4 poems
- History: Complete three sheets and stick them in your book
Wednesday
- Maths: 3-D Pythagoras and 3-d Trig problems
- Religious: Read and make notes on two textbook pages, answer two questions using the BIBLE to help (I don't even have a Bible; my mother does but I have no idea where it is)
- English: Read 10 more poems, read an exam paper
Thursday
- Maths: Half-term homework sheet (double-sided)
- Classics: Essay on what we can determine about the inhabitants of Pompeii based on the archaeological evidence
- History: Read eight textbook pages, make notes on three textbook pages
Friday
- English: Plan an exam question in detail
- History: Finish a final draft of a coursework question
- Latin: Go over conjugations previously learnt.
In more cheery news, Torchwood was several thousand types of brilliant, thank God. I'll need a shiny to get me through the abject horror that is David Tennant as The Doctor. *headdesk*
Torchwood
- Captain Jack! I love you! You pretty, swinging-every-way, charming, rakish, morally conflicted person with man pain and a bloody brillian coat! I will icon you to death!
- I also loved Toshiko, and she is clearly brilliant. While her colleagues flaunt the 'don't remove alien technology from the building' rule to get dates or, you know, go CRAZY, she does it to quickly scan classic literature into her computer. Therefore, she = win.
- Jack! Being un-killable! Rose, you would have a lot to answer for if you were still in the same dimension as him.
- Jack and the Doctor's hand is so screwed up in the way that hurts, and baby Jack's little face when sex-driven-alien-possessed-girl smashed it was hurtyful as well.
- There was girl!kissing of the hot variety
- Did I mention Jack and his man-pain and pretty? Because, yeah.
-Oh oh oh, the perception filter thing from the crazy chameleon circuit in Boomtown!!! *dances like a freak* I want a perception filter, and I also want to write fic where there is some form of sex in the perception filter, because that is public!sex without quite being visible and therefore is beyond fabulous.
- ....I love you, Torchwood. Do not disappoint me or I will cry.
My womb hurts like a shitty thing, I have to say. In that way that isn't enough for painkillers (I build up resistance to painkillers really easily, so I have to limit them) but aches like a bugger. Anyways.
I have to go and work like a freak now! Leave me cheering comments?
