Humour me, flist. It is either keep myself busy on the internets, or go and throw up forever. Nausea is not the boss of me, I say! I say, down with fail and up with FREAKING POINTLESS MEMES! FUN FOR EVERYONE! also I am going to get those 5 Things comments done very very soon, I promise.

On another note, I'm thinking about making this journal semi-friends only. I mean, I lock most of the stuff I don't feel comfortable sharing with the world at large, but I'm thinking of maybe extending that to just everything that isn't either an entirely fandom-related post, or fic. Flist, what are your thoughts? Are you friends-only? What do you think of friends-only journals in general? Has semi-friends only worked for you?

Sebastian:

- He really was in love with Charles, utterly and completely. He ended up in Morocco because it was the only place that was different enough to his surroundings in England, or in Venice, that he could stop thinking about him.
- He secretly wishes he could have got along better with his mother, and regrets, slightly, that they became so alienated from one another. In another life, perhaps, he would like to think that she accepted him more, and he antagonised her less, and maybe they would never be as close as some families, but they could at least agree to disagree, and maybe enjoy each other's company on occasion.
- It took him years to actually like the taste of alcohol; certainly his first term at Oxford was spent bluffing about how well he could hold his drink. He doesn't think Charles knows this; however, Charles thinks it is because Sebastian spent so long convincing other people he liked to drink that he stopped being able to tell when enough was enough, and if he'd cared a little bit less about maintaining an image, he might not have ended up the way he did.

Pauline (AFGH, why haven't you seen the third season? MY CANON ENCOMPASSES THAT, but I shall hold off on the spoiiilers):

- She has a desk at home in which every drawer is filled with pens, all of them in their own individually-labelled, hand-made little pen-beds.
- She once sucked half the ink out of a gel pen to see what it tasted like, and then was sick in bright magenta for two whole days.
- She thinks Mickey would make a really good fireman, but she's too afraid to tell him in case he doesn't want to see her once he's finally got a job; what she doesn't know is, he would want to see her even if he became a millionaire, because she makes him feel special, despite the bullying.

Those facts are perfect for him. I have been slowly getting through the tv Brideshead Revisited. I am not a slash fan, but oh dear God, Charles/Sebastian breaks me. They are so very beautiful and in love and doomed and ohhhhh Anthony Andrews' little faaaace..... <3

True fact: I cannot make myself watch past, like, the fifth episode of the Brideshead mini-series because it upsets me too much DDD: I own the boxset, I have done for a year, and I have just. Stopped. TOO UPSETTING, OKAY, I CAN'T HANDLE IT.

Also, I was watching a Marple episode last Tuesday and lo! There was Anthony Andrews! I heart him and his face. Where are you up to in the mini-series?

I am up to episode 7, maybe? I think the last ep I watched was called 'Julia'.

I've read the book too, but can't remember exactly what happens. What happens to S, anyway. I know all about Charles and Julia.

You have definitely passed the episode I just stopped watching at. I don't think I watched the one where there's a hunt, or something, and Charles gives Sebastian some money for l'alcool, and Lady Marchmain is all WHAT WHAT ARE YOU AN IDIOT? because akjfbkjab alcoholic Sebastian makes me make this face DDD:

Also - and this is something I really only have a vague recollection of - the bit where he wakes Charles up and is talking about going somewhere else (??), and possibly they then go to Charles' house (??), that upset me too.
