Fic: BSG, Laura/Kara, R - A Little Rhyme and a Reason Forgotten

I feel like I've not written BSG fic in far too long. Hence, this.

Summary: Girl-sexings and Kara doesn't question anything too much.
A/N: This is set post Flight of the Phoenix, but there are no spoilers. It just helps to know when it's set. I don't know if Laura is Laura-ish enough, but that's something I always worry about. The image just popped into my head...and I wanted to write it, despite the fact that I feel it's very like every other Laura/Kara I've ever written! Mainly girl-sexings. Some pondering. 393 words.

There's no rhyme nor reason to this, no real answer for why or when or how it began.

All Kara knows is that she can make Laura arch up high, back curling off the small bed, with her mouth somewhere hot and wet and her fingers clinging, clinging to Laura's hand. Laura used to cry out, used to come fast and sharp and loud but not any more. Now, Laura shudders out orgasms, long and slow and silent, and Kara watches her bite her lip harder each time. Laura grips Kara's hand like a lifeline, and when Laura props herself up on her elbows to look at her, Kara swears her eyes are damp.

Then Laura blinks, and Kara can never be sure.

And she can never quite remember, because then Laura switches their places and it is Kara flat on the bed and Laura leaning over her. Laura kisses like she talks, deliberately, with purpose, and sometimes Kara thinks it's like a lie, like Laura isn't really there with her or not really caring. Other times, she can't think. She doesn't want to think.

Either way, thinking or not, Kara never fails to buck and whimper as Laura's fingers and Laura's tongue flick and lick and tease her. Laura is very, very good at this. She makes Kara come with ruthless concentration, drawing it out and drawing it out until Kara can barely lift her head from the thin pillow beneath her. Kara closes her eyes each time, watching stars and shadows glitter red and gold behind her eyes and Laura is always very quiet until Kara opens her eyes again.

Laura is never undressed, not fully. There's always a skirt round her hips, or a blouse half-buttoned or a bra half off her shoulder and hanging in Kara's way as she tries to kiss her way back to thought. Laura lets her, but now it's more tolerating than active participation and Kara always wonders where she went wrong.

Laura has a way of not connecting for long.

Kara will leave with her uniform not quite tidy, hair not quite brushed and behind her, Laura will look the picture of perfection as she watches Kara leave.

Kara always says there won't be a next time.

Kara is always lying.

I really, really liked this. I can so see it being this way between them ... can see Laura disconnecting, holding herself apart. Can see that bothering Kara. Can see neither of them being able to stop anyway.

Haha, well most of my entries recently have been me moaning about how rubbish it is to have a broken ankle...so conversations with kitchen appliances sounds quite interesting compared to that!

I fell down some stairs, and I was neither drunk nor wearing stupid shoes so no one has any idea how I did it. I had to spend 3 days in hospital...it wasn't fun. :(

The microwave is my best friend at the moment so I can totally understand how you feel about appliances playing up!
