Random Kate Bush titles aside, I haven't said a lot recently! Although I'm sure this is not of maximum concern to a lot of you ;-)

I don't even have particularly much to say now, but I felt I should say something to make up for it. 

I have all my exam results back, and only one B - in Maths, 6 marks off an A, and the second paper was impossible. It really, really was. I had 11 results back, 6 were A*s, 5 were As. One was a 99% (!!!!).  /non-important rambles.

Tonight, I plan to eat brownies and watch my Green Wing special dvd. However, this means I shall have to tape Top Gear, which comes back today and whichrionaleonhart has evilly won me round to watching through various nefarious techniques, all of which involve cajoling and/or excessive use of videos.
 
And I'm not even that interested in cars. Damn her. Except not.

In my head, there are two more Green Wing fic ideas. This is a bit mad.

1) You had brilliant and wonderful Torchwood related squeeage going on, which is how I approached you, but I think you actually friended me first...which I was very pleased to see, because I totally wanted to friend you but was scared you would mock me!

I am much more pleased than I should be that I'm too crackpairingy to assign a single pairing.

Oh, God, what made me love Doctor Who? It managed to get me interested very quickly, certainly - the television happened to be on when Aliens of London began, and I was sort of half-watching (I believe my first ever thought about Doctor Who was 'this advert is running on rather long... hang on, it's not an advert, is it?'), and then I thought '...hang on, so that guy took that girl through time, and now she's back but it's a year later than it should be, and her mother is freaking out, and he just gives a slightly sheepish grin and says "sorry"? ...I want to know more about this character.'

And then I fell in love with it during Father's Day, because it made me cry a ridiculous amount and also I love time travel causing problems and paradoxes. AND THEN CAPTAIN JACK HARKNESS CAME ALONG, WHO WAS JUST THE AWESOMEST CHARACTER EVER. And then he left, and the Doctor regenerated, and I was very sad. The new episodes just don't inspire the same sense of joy and genuine tension, alas.

Did I ever warn you that I ramble too much? Er, I'm sorry.

Hee, the icon is from Fawlty Towers, when Basil is desperately trying to get the not-entirely-fluent-in-English waiter to understand that he cannot let his (Basil's) wife know that he's been gambling. "Oh, I could spend the rest of my life having this conversation - look, please try to understand before one of us dies." I don't use it very often because it's essentially a 'talking to an idiot' icon and therefore a bit cruel, but I like having it there regardless.

You do not ramble too much. I find your rambles somewhat brilliant. I also find your reasons for liking DW rather brilliant too, especially because I did not like Aliens of London at all. I don't like the Slitheen. They bore me. *is bad*

And I entirely agree, I don't think the new episodes inspire the same glee and wonderment and character explosions in my brain as the last one. I don't think I could express in words how much Parting of the Ways made me cry. It was a lot. A lot. Although to be fair, Doomsday made me sob as well, but that was more because of what it meant for the characters rather than Tenant's acting moving me in any way. Although his quiet (SHUT UP MAN AND PUT YOUR CHIN DOWN I DON'T NEED TO SEE YOUR NOSTRILS IN ORDER TO TAKE THE SCENE SERIOUSLY, I NEED NEW SCRIPTS) man pain I rather like.

And I really didn't think I'd like Jack, because I was just getting over the fact that Adam came along at all and I didn't like him and wanted it just to be the Doctor and Rose again, but then Jack was awesome and everything was instantly better.

Ahem. Sorry. I too get rather rambling and also angry when the Doctor switch is discussed.

Yay! Everyone should love Fawlty Towers. I thought you might have seen it, but I couldn't tell, so I was sitting there going 'how can I phrase this icon-explanation in a way that won't seem patronising if she does know it and will explain enough if she doesn't?'

It occurs in retrospect that it may have made sense to just ask outright whether you knew it. NEVER MIND.

I don't think anyone really liked the Slitheen, but the opening is all 'TIME TRAVEL HORRIBLE MISTAKE SUDDENLY SPACESHIP CRASHING INTO BIG BEN', which is a fairly good way to make a person who's never seen an episode of Doctor Who in her life sit up and take notice.

I work in a small casting agents which can be quite good fun. However they also run a less fun business out of the same offices where I also work as a receptionist on Thurs and Fri. This is less fun and constitutes most of the argh! dkfgkfdgsk work! posts on my journal.

I like that you were flattered. I always get so nervous when friending people, especially if it's just becase I randomly came across their journal whilst looking at interests.

i think i'd start the day by jumping around for a good half an hour not believing that i'm laura roslin for a day. because, ZOMGS! i'd pick the sexiest thing she owns, and wear that. i'd flirt shamelesly with everyone, especially lee adama cuz he's teh hot! in front of his father too, while glancing provocatively his way. i'd play with my hair a lot, look over my glasses in that sexy way she does, and generally just get a lot of ppl into trouble for lusting over her the way they do. course, i'll have to talk to the quorum and whatnot, so i'll do that too, leaning sexily over constantly to make sure everyone can see her awesome rack from where they are... hmm... oh yes! flirt shamelesly with tom zarek as well! yeah! toss a cylon out the airlock, and if i don't have a cylon to toss out, just toss out something, randomly. baltar's portrait, for example. and yeah... that'd pretty much conclude my day of being laura roslin. when she'll wake up the next day, being herself, she'll have quite a mess to clean up. :D
