Why is it so difficult for me to remember to update this thing? Fnar. It's not like I don't spend the majority of my internet time on livejournal. Anyway.

I recently reorganised my memories and thought I'd share a few of the things in there, so you know what I'm looking at and I can have a pretty post with pictures and links! I've broken it down into categories - People, Fandoms, and Fic. There was going to be some Random Goodness too, but the entry got too long so I'll save that for another post! Of course, all the fun can be found here!


- People and Pretty


Tilda Swinton - This post by sinful_caesar has a brilliant collection of Tilda pictures. And by God, does Tilda deserve the pictures; she is striking and ethereal and just so far removed from every other person you will ever look at. Just...Tilda.


Gillian Anderson - I have to say how much I adore the picture of Gillian I just used. So, so much. Anyway. This article at the gillianleigh community is just so very, very Gillian. If you're not a fan, or you haven't paid her that much attention or you love her, read it. It showcases her prickly edges, her slight paranoia, her complete randomness and is pretty much the best one I have found with her.


Miranda Richardson - There's not a lot about Miranda on the web, let alone livejournal. I couldn't do this without her though, because to me she will always be the woman that showed me how acting was meant to be done and led me to MRAP Discussion Boards and Clive's Miranda Site (the best there is), where I met some of my dear, darling friends. *hugs Miranda friends* Livejournal links include the Miranda community - miranda_fans and the Radio Times Interview with her that I typed up.


Fandom Related Goodness


Battlestar Galactica

- Adama/Roslin comics by ellymelly, which are entertaining and sweet, even for those that don't watch the show.
- A pic-essay on "Why BSG is Really the Simpsons in Disguise by ingrid_m, which is amusing for the BSG folk and a good, quick, snarky character rundown for non-BSG folk.
- Relationship meta by jennyo. Very insightful and so, so true. Go worship her. And her fic is bloody fantastic too.
- Roslin specific meta by jennyo. Also all very true.


Doctor Who (Sadly, lacking Christopher Eccleston)

- A picspam of School Reunion by rainyd, which is pretty and was actually a quite good episode. Which says a lot, because bleh, this time round? Not so good.
- A really rather brilliant home-made picture parody of the first two cyberman episodes this year, also by rainyd. Second part here.
- David Tennant = Otter! by mustangsally78. It's so very, very true. The picture proves it!
- Doctor Who = pr0n disguised as kiddy sci-fi (i.e. gratuitous pretty with emphasis on the smut) by neonheart. Say what you like about Tennant (and I do), the man is pretty. And easily smutified!


House

- Lisa Cuddy and her Tracts of Land by alpheratz. It's a big picture thing. About Cuddy's breasts. You need to look.
- This was where I was going to link to artwork, but I realised that I should just point to johanirae's journal and be done with it. Warning - lots of slash. But damn well drawn slash. Also, there is CSI: NY slash pretty.


The X-Files - I can't leave this out of anything. It is essential to my life. It helped shape me. I love it.

- Mulder/Scully Photo Essay by liminalliz. Even if you have never watched The X-Files, look at this. It perfectly documents why I adore MSR (Mulder/Scully Romance) and just how perfectly perfect they are as a couple. They were my first OTP.
- Best Episode Ever - Paper Clip by liminalliz. This sums up all the great things about The X-Files by using one of the best episodes - Paper Clip - to point them all out. Read it. Please.


Fic

- BSG Fic

Find all the BSG fic in my memories here. Below are some highlights:

- One Breath Away - Boomer/Roslin. NC17. Girl!sex in a prison cell and dear holy frak, is it hot.
- Abandon by jennyo. Kara/Laura, NC17. Angsty girl!sex in a bathroom. *fans self* And I'm making these two out to be just smutty goodness, which they are, but they're so well written and so in character and her Roslin is the best Roslin I've seen written outside the show.
- Who's Zoomin' Who by jennyo, PG-13. This is about a syphilis outbreak in BSG land. It is crack genius. And I swear this is the last jennyo fic I will put here, but by God everything she writes is wonderful.
- In Good Faith by k_julia, Adult, Laura/Lee. This is fabulous too, with two different time tracks going on and she has protective!Lee down pat, and her Laura hardly falters. I love it. And there's angst. And it's about shooting and BSG politics.
- Get Through the Day by sheepfairy, Laura/Adama, G. This is about the fallout between Roslin/Adama after 'Sacrifice' and sums up the characters and their emotions in so few words.

- Doctor Who Fic, find the rest in my memories here.

- Ten Fantasies Lost About Life and One She Didn't by misscam, Ten/Rose, Mature. About Rose, as a child and as she was, learning about life and the Doctor and how to be happy. Wonderful. There's a companion piece too, from a Doctor POV Ten Lessons the Doctor Learned From Sex and One He Didn't.
- Untrustworthy by misscam, Ten/Rose, Teen. A post Girl in the Fireplace fic where Rose acts like a rational human. Her take on The Doctor/Rose is wonderful, treading the line between dark and acceptable and I love it.
- Find the Map and Draw a Straight Line by passionflows, Ten/Rose, R. Post Doomsday, not quite closure but just as heartachingly weepy. It's not overtly implausible, like the majority of post-Doomsday fic, but quiet and understated and just what I wanted to find.
- Passive Tense by rainyd, Ten/Rose, NC17, dom/sub. A very, very dark sexual take on the Doctor/Rose relationship with The Doctor being a good bit more broken than you would think and Rose being a good bit more fucked up.

I also have Harry Potter fic, Misc. Fic, My Fic and Scrubs Fic in my memories, amongst the other catagories.

So, that was a brief (ha!) trip through my lj-memories. I hope you enjoyed, looked at pretty, clicked on some links and maybe looked at something you hadn't seen before. I made both icons used and found the pictures used in my folders, so I can't remember where they all came from! If you see something you need credit for, tell me and I will do so!

Tis nice to look at your memories things, will have more indepth look soon, I love reading about my Moog's passions. Very much enjoyed Cuddy's breast photos though...she's a pretty one...pervy mood, me??
