BSG Picspam - Water

moogingI am such a social outcast, it entertains me. Not in the bad way, in the way that makes all the cheerleader-type popular people despise me. Which is fabulous. I choose today to bring this to your attention because of an amusing little incident that happened.
I was out walking on my own (I was going to go with my mother, but she went while I was in the shower) around my little pretty town. I was wearing my long floaty skirt with a little vest under a flimsy floaty top - this is important. On the way back, I picked daisies because I'm random like this. I was going through this little gap between some rock!steps to go back up the passage way to my house and I had to pull my skirt up a bit so I wouldn't trip over it.
And lo! There was a huuuge group of popular people at the top of the steps. Picture it: small, fat me, in all these floaty clothes, clutching a little bunch of daisies. Them: freaks in clingy clothes and too much make-up and other blee things. Me: *insanely large scary grin*. Them: *obligatory insulting things*. Me: *bigger grin, skips off*. Them: *laughing at me as I go*.
It doesn't really affect me, but the humour of it does. I came home laughing at my little floaty, daisy carrying self.

These BSG picspams will not end until someone yells at me for them to stop or I have finished capping/spamming everyone with the whole season. Just so you all know.
Again, screencaps are my own and I faffed about with them in Photoshop to make them a bit lighter / prettier / more colourful / easier to see.
Laura Roslin centred, as always. This one may be less about the plot and more about my incessant fangirling and squee because...well, this episode provoked lots of the squee. Spoilers for this episode, probably.
 So, we have Laura preparing to go onto the Galactica where Adama appears to have some ceremony type thing for her which she doesn't want to do and looks very sweet being petulant about. While getting her jacket on and fiddling with her hair, she wonders how long it will take her to get sick of the only three outfits she has with her (Ha, costume department, deal with that!) and Billy says she looks fine. She is slightly incredulous at this and makes a number of lovable faces while doing so. Like the one above. |
 Billy tries to rectify things by saying she looks great, which makes Laura splutter and laugh and be generally adorabibble (tm missfoxie). Her smile is gorgeous, yes? As is her hair. |
 After some more giggling (she's so lovely), Laura eventually tells Billy that he knows nothing about women. Then she kind of straightens up from the giggling cuteness and says something along the lines of "Let's go be Presidential". |
 And she is very Presidential and people clap. Adama looks at her in the above brooding sexually-clingy way and this is picture one of Laura "I-have-sexual-tension-with-everyone-and-everything" Roslin for today. She's smiling again. This makes a change from the last episode of tired and angst. Which isn't to say I don't like the angst (because really. I do.) but the smiling is sweet and pretty. Shallow? Moi? Wait until the last few pictures, then you see the shallow. |
 Picture two of Laura "Sex-me" Roslin. This time it is with Lee/Apollo/Adama junior (pick your prefered name) and she is smiling some more! There's a fab little exchange which is basically Adama senior telling Tigh he feels like a tour guide and Laura saying [Adama senior] must think she is stupid. It turns out though, that he is actually trying to make her feel like the President by giving her a ceremony thing that he doesn't actually like. I melt with the combined sweetness of the Laura/Adama and the Laura/Lee in the same goddamn scene. |
 Oh, right. There are three caps of the above scene here. These two are purely for the shallow; this one is for the look on her face and the eyes and the hair and the overall love. |
 And this one is for the way she is kind of framed in the two men's faces (and permit me a moment of over-analysing here) which I like because the scene is about viewpoints and opinions, and this shot works because she is seeing something new in Adama while the two men she's pictured between are trying to figure her out. (/over-analysing). Also, Laura's hair is pretty. Have I mentioned that? |
 Picture three of Laura "Hello boys/girls/anyone" Roslin. Look at the sweet between Adama and Laura here - silhouettes are much love. And the edge of Laura's pretty red hair is caught in the light. And they're leaning together and whispering - personally, I choose to say that it's an attempt to intimidate the guy on the stand and they're not actually saying anything important. Somewhere in this scene, she wants someone to guess at something but Adama says he doesn't encourage guessing because he likes facts. However, Laura then wields her super-powers and says 'indulge me' in a way that makes me faint a few times. Adama gives in and tells the guy to guess and I create a fantasy in which she uses her legs under the table to convince him. This theory is backed up when someone says "I suppose you want me to guess now" in this half-mocking way and Adama chastises him and the guy has to apologise. I grin. A lot. |
 These two pictures are here to illustrate just how much I love Laura's expressions when she talks to Baltar. This face is more of the "sigh, the crazy and his crazyness" disbelief look with a tinge of exasperation.... |
 ...And this face is more of the "On second thought, kill the crazy and remove him from my sight" variety. *loves her* |
 This scene had the prettiest lighting in the history of ever. Really. It was also all about Laura being in Adama's chambers (Part four of her shipping goodness for this episode) and them being generally lovable about books - Laura has a thing for mysteries. She also makes a collection of adorable expressions while Adama is in the bathroom and can't see (really, there's tons of them now in folders on my computer) and I think it's partly due to nerves and partly due for something to say. And the lighting shows off her hair and her eyes and her beautiful face and I never ever want the scene to end. And Adama gives her a book. And she thanks him. And the lighting is pretty. |
 This picture? Guess it's purpose. That's right - LEGS!! Looooook at the legs. And then look at Adama's proximity to the legs. I'm sure something happened in this scene that wasn't to do with the legs...oh, Laura wanted him to use his military peoples to police the water riots and he had some problem with that but she manages to convince him somehow and is emphatically emphatic about the fact that she won't let there be any problems. |
 At the end, Laura enlists her super-leg-powers again and asks Lee to be her adviser on something or other, because she wants 'advice on the military'. Yeah, which totally means 'sex on her desk'. She makes sweet little mistakes and is corrected by Lee, to which she replies "You see why I need you?". She smiles a lot and comforts him about the angst he has about blowing up the ship last episode. I think seeing her legs some more would comfort me. In an addition to Laura's adorabibble status, she has a list of names of things she wants to remember - and on it is the name of the exploded ship - and the list is in her pocket. And look at her little smile here. *pets her* |
 So Lee accepts the post (because of her legs and the desk!sex possibility) and she tells him that he will be the one to tell Adama senior. That's because he'll get jealous and want desk!sex too. Thus endeth the episode of cute. |

Resistance is futile, and she is such a fine playa, getting under the skin of the entire family unit in one fell swoop, and I loves her for it.
