Oh apparently a lot of Inception was shot for real? ALSO UGH LISTEN TO THAT MUSIC, HOW DID IT NOT WINNNN.

Okay, next. Original Screenplay. Presented by Rosamund Pike (SO LOVELY) and Dominic Cooper. They think the autocue is wrong? But they recover. They are in fact really lovely presenting together, clearly something has died in the autocue but they rattle along well. EVA GREEN IS IN THE AUDIENCE. Rosamund Pike nearly reads the winner before the nominees! A kerfuffle ensues. Jonathan Ross leaps across the stage to stop her. Dominic Cooper wants to get off the stage.

Original Screenplay:

- The Kids are All Right (oh, they're using "all right" not "alright". good to know)
- Black Swan
- The Fighter
- Inception
- The King's Speech

Winner - The King's Speech! THIS IS GOING TO BE A LOTR TYPE SWEEP, ISN'T IT?

Nooooooo, internet, DON'T LEAVE ME. I just had to clamber over the back of my sofa to get the signal back. THIS LIVEBLOG IS BEING BROUGHT TO YOU BY MADNESS AND A COMPLETE LACK OF DIGNITY. This seems like a lovely speech but I'm not listening, because a) I am a terrible person and b) I'm writing this nonsense. Says Colin should get all the awards and re: HBC: "Tim: watch your back, mate. I'm in love." He says it's a wonderful thing for a stutterer/stammerer to be heard. Oh right, because of that anecdote earlier. WELL DONE THAT MAN.

Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema. Presented by SIR STEPHEN FRYYYY, WHO DOESN'T LOVE STEPHEN FRYYY HELLO HELLO HELLO SIR. NOOOO INTERNET DON'T LEEEEAVE ME, oh god this is so stressful. Is that Rebecca Hall in the audience? She's lovely, whether or not that was her.

THIS IS GOING TO HARRY POTTER, THIS SPEECH IS GREAT BUT I AM NOT TYPING IT OUT. "new words entered the language: hogwarts, quidditch." lol okay he named Voldemort and then was like "damn." Apparently Potter has already had a total of TWENTY-EIGHT BAFTA nominations and has "shown British cinema in its best light" - "no matter how much money they make - and believe me, it's been a shhhhhhhhedload (big laugh from everyone) - they've been made with love". It's been suggested that the films may "actually be better than the quite brilliantly voiced audiobooks". ugh Stephen Fry I love you.

Okay here is a short film about the Potter films. WHERE IS MY INTERNET SIGNAL, AM I GOING TO HAVE TO GO BACK OVER THE SOFA?? OKAY HITTING POST NOW IN CASE THE SIGNAL TAKES A WHILE TO COME BACK.

Loling at your running commentary of the autocue mix-up.

Agreed with what you said about the writer for TKS, he seemed really lovely and the thing about how he used to have a stammer made the whole thing really heartwarming.

STEPHEN FRYYYY. ♥ I HAVE ISSUES WITH THE HARRY POTTER FILMS SO, EH. JK Rowling was so sweet though, I loved how she was like tugging Rupert Grint forwards to get him in front of the podium.
