And I also ordered the last season of BSG. It was, like £14 cheaper to buy the two halves online than in the shop. ALSO: why was it so confusingly titled in the UK? Like, 4.0 is called Season Four, and then 4.5 is 'The Final Season'. Thanks for clearing that up, marketing people. I know 4.0 was released as aired and before 4.5 started showing, but other shows are released in clear half seasons - like Caprica is now - and, in conclusion, I am probably just a) overreacting and b) slow.

IN OTHER NEWS, I totally got the Dollhouse Season 2 set that came with the little comic book, which I wasn't expecting. I sort of thought that might have just been around when the season first came out but HMV had sets with and without it, so. /nerdtacular.

Has anyone else been out a-purchasing yet this year? Obviously now I need to be sensible and save money and other dull/necessary things, but, um. BEING FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE IS HARRRRD.

IKR? How is Jenny so pretty and yet so irritating? Sometimes I really like her but a lot more of the time I want to slap her. SHUT UP JENNY. Still, it's not as bad as when I was watching The X-Files and Monica Reyes started popping up. SHUT UP MORONICA was my continuous cry.

I keep meaning to look into The Good Wife but so far I have failed on that front. Should I buck my ideas up?

I find a cycle trhough hating nearly everyone in the L Word with the exception of Dana and Shane. Oh and maybe Max as well. But Jenny is the most irritation of them all.

Yes, definitely! It features amazing women being amazing. Kalinda is brilliant and there is subtext aplenty.

I fairly strongly dislike Max? I mean, I was sort of ambivalent throughout season 3 and the whole plotline with Billy but season 4 is making me want to die a little. (I'm only on the first few episodes though, so idek). It took me a while to warm to Dana but then I REALLY did, and I go a bit swings-and-roundabouts with Alice as well, and yes, I know what you mean about cycling through hating everyone in the L Word. Apart from Shane. And Carmen. CARMENNNN.

I am equal parts happy/sad for you that you have not met Monica Reyes yet: happy because YOU DON'T YET KNOW HOW IRRITATING SHE IS and sad because you have that knowledge to come in your future. :S Scully obviously wins all the things though. All of the things.

If I find Julianna Margulies really irritating in ER, will I find her equally so in The Good Wife? So far that's the only thing putting me off. (I am aware I am a terrible person).

OMG Carmen, yes. Loved her. I think I went off Shane for a while after the whole Carmen wedding debacle. I am ambivalent to Alice. I quite liked her when she was with Dana and then once she an Dana broke up and Alice went MENTAL, not so much. I loved Dana so much. Sigh.

I think I'm about midway through S6 so I think Reyes appears soon. In the next series? I know that at leat one of my friends refused to watch beyond S7 so I think that might be where I'll stop as well. I think that my life in general would have been better if I'd discovered Scully earlier.

I wasn't a fan of Juliana Marguiles in ER either. But she is much better in The Good Wife. And on a shallow note, I like her better with straight hair.

You need to watch The Good Wife for Christine Baranski (who plays Diane Lockhart one of the partners) and for Archie Panjabi (Kailnda)as well. Kalinda, epsecially is an amazing character. I might have mentioned that already?

Also, is that a Cracks icon? Eva Green was so gorgeous in that film.

I spend a lot of time whilst I am watching the L Word wondering why I am watching The L Word when I clearly dislike so many of the characters. And yet I keep watching. - THIS EXACTLY. Like, I actually can't stand Tina but I sort of want Bette/Tina to happen mostly because I really like Bette? And I like Helena post-season 2, and CARMEN WAS MY FAVOURITE. Also it is good to hear that someone else disliked mental!Alice after the Dana break up, because it just got to a point where I was reacting the same way to her as I was to Jenny. Jenny. seeeriously Jenny is so irritating. But then sometimes I like her? ~RIDICULOUS AND COMPLICATED FEELINGS~

S7 of The X-Files is my favourite, hands down. Season 8 is, um, not so great but I would say give it a watch, and then season 9 is like being bored to death whilst simultaneously mourning the loss of the show that you are currently watching. But I guess worth it for the sake of completion? I will warn you now though that Scully in s8/9 is the victim of some of the most ridic character assassination I have seen on tv.

I shall def give The Good Wife a go! Will it spoil me for everything ever if I jump in wherever it's airing now? Should I just catch up first or can I start watching along on tv?

CRACKS, yes, it is a Cracks icon. I loved the film (isolated girls' school with a f/f teacher/student dynamic? YES PLEASE. I am so ridiculous, I know, but omfg). And Eva Green was so beautiful. WHICH MAKES A CHANGE. /sarcasm.

Yeah the moments where I like Tina are few and far between. But then Bette was the one that cheated. Ugh, IDK. Complicated, yes.

Did you watch any of Lip Service? I didn't see the whole series but I found I had a lot of the same issues with it about liking/disliking characters.

Haha, yes I loved Cracks for many of the same reasons. Teacher/sudent, boarding school and diving which I actually know a little about? Yes, please!
