Having just finished Havemercy again last night, I am SO FREAKING RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED OMGGG. I stored away all the little pieces of information about Caius, Alcibiades, and Antoinette that were given to us.

Also, I am more in love with Thom/Balfour than ever.

Also also, I tried to piece together some of the info about timelines and such at the end of the war. Shadow Magic definitely picks up a week after the Dragon Corps' assault on the city, right? Rook was definitely in captive for a month. Hal said that Royston was part of a delegation (but that doesn't necessarily mean that he was part of the same delegation with Caius and Alcibiades); he also said that Royston had to return later on to make sure that the terms of the treaty were being carried out. So, I'm assuming that Shadow Magic is going to overlap a bit with the end of Havemercy, does that sound right? And if book 3 is going to involve Thom and Rook (and their super snarky brotherly adventures), then maybe we're not going to have to like, join them after they've already been traveling a while. Does this make sense? It's possible that this only makes sense in my head. I'm not even sure I have a point, so I'll stop now.

Well, it might take me close to a week to finish the book anyway, since I'll be working a lot and my manager wouldn't appreciate me reading while on shift. Unfortunately. You can text me with words of flail once you get the book, and this way we can avoid spoiling each other! You don't even have to use words, on second thought, because if all I get is three texts in a row that look like ADAFHDSKJFAS, I'll know what it means. :D

I did have thoughts, but now I need to say this: if Shadow Magic is set before the end of Havemercy, do you think that means we get some moar Royston? Because ROYSTON. kjsfjhsgfjhd And how awesome would it be to see Rook and Thom setting out on their brotherly adventures, and falling into their own little terrifyingly maladjusted routine rather than picking it up halfway through? Although, having said that, with picking it up halfway through I guess there's the option of having a ~backstory~ to reveal. I DON'T EVEN CARE ANYMORE, I JUST NEED MORE OF THIS 'VERSE.

I shall text you when I get the book, and again when I'm reading it. Should we preface all texts/emails with the chapter we're on, so that we don't accidentally spoil each other? lol srs bns reading.

THOM/BALFOUR, it makes my heart go all squiggly. I am going to re-read Havemercy, and then I am going to go back to our epic conversation and get that going again because apparently I need more of that in my life.

I slaved away at the dishes and begged to get pocket money in advance so that I could buy them. Back then, the dvd sets came in two halves, so I always ended up desperate to finish the season. I think you should just dress up the box in a little apron.

I too am in the pits of WHERE IS MY MONEY despair, but soon I will get my first lump of student finance, which will be a joyous day, and then, er, it will all go on accommodation and something trivial, like food. :P I think I'm going to try and look for a job over the summer too, but it might be a bit difficult b/c I have to have two weeks off to go to this Ancient Greek summer school in August, so I'm sure that will make me a delightful employment prospect.

I have been told by friends that because I started uni in 2006 and because I'm in my final year (fuckshitbollocks) I will be given less money from the gorvernment this time. Woez. You might be able to find something, be hopeful. Or could maybe sell some things to make a little moolah?
