I would very much like that medal. My lack-of-love-proclaiming was probably helped by the fact that I didn't really think I could say anything, and so 'Would you mind signing this for me, please?' and 'Thank you *smiiiile*' was just about as much as I could manage.

And then she smiled at me and I had to go away and lean against something (my mother) until my legs were able to support me again.
