FINISHED OH MY GOD!!!

It was Classics today, and I think it went okay.

And thank you to all the lovely, lovely people who sent me good luck and good wishes and held my hand through it all, it really meant a lot. *glomps you all*

My mother made me a little card and a present, and it was waiting for me when I floated through the door this afternoon. The present? Pat Barker's 'Regeneration' trilogy. *gleeface* [profile] strangeumbrella and [profile] lo0o0ony_lauren - I know you've read these, so, er, characters I should be looking out for (without any spoilers, thank you, because YAYE BOOKS).

Anyway, I have a gloriously long amount of time to arse around and do bloody-fuck all, so, I am declaring fic requests OPEN.

I know I'm not the best person for, er, finishing these, but I have THREE MONTHS, PEOPLE. I can't procrastinate my way through that amount of time, two weeks of which will be spent in places with no internet and a good few hours on a train.

So. Here are the fandoms I'm open to write in, and I'll do anything you would like, lovely flist peoples.

The X-Files, Battlestar Galactica, Buffy, Nip/Tuck, House, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Green Wing, Life On Mars, Scrubs, Black Books, Alias, Suburban Shootout, CSI, The West Wing, Grey's Anatomy, 24 (but only pairings with Nina, I'm afraid), Absolutely Fabulous, Rome.

I've also been watching Bones recently - anyone else watching? [profile] miss_atom, I know you do.

In conclusion, FINISHED.

PS: Large, large apologies for stretching anyone's flist page. THE GLEE CANNOT BE CONTAINED BEHIND A CUT.

(NO PRIOR STEP AWAY FROM THE GIRL. Oooh, look at that, pre-formed expectations of characters right there.)

My exams didn't go as badly as they could have done, I suppose. The Classics one I just had was about the best of the bunch; Sciences and Maths will not be spoken of (BUT WHO CARES BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE TO CARE ANYMOOOOOOOOOORE AHAHAHAHA); I hope I've done better in Latin than I think I have; French was surprisingly not horrible (except the Reading, which was a bit iffy); er, I hope I've not failed either of the Englishes.

Except stress has apparently made me allergic to my glasses (it's a cruel, cruel world), so now I have weeping-ooze stuff on the bridge of my nose and just behind my ears. You wanted to know that. Shhh.

Oooh, sorry to hear you're being herded back into the learning place. Is there anything I can do to make it more bearable? Like come to your home and watch Life On Mars with you?

(Lol expectations. I wanted to hate the girl, I did, and then suddenly she was kind of awesome and errr I had to support multiple Prior pairings at once. Which is pretty much what Prior does himself, to be honest.)

What are you taking next year? Are you doing Classics? Also, I am sure you have not failed English, I HAVE FAITH IN YOU. Did you get to do some kind of description-original-writing-question thing (lol I win at words)? I remember that being pretty much the best bit of exam we were given last year.

Akljsd, I wish you could come to my home and watch Life On Mars with me, I genuinely do, what on earth are you doing in the north (/what am I doing in the south)? But, seriously, summer, right? Something has to happen? Er, when are you here, again? (SCHOOL STOLE MY MEMORY)

Next year I'm taking Classics, English Language, Latin and French. See how interesting I am! /sarcasm.

Yes, what are we both doing at opposite ends of the country? I'm down in the south around the fourth of August, um, if you would like to see meeeeeeeee.

I forget what you're taking now: something politic-y (Government and Politics?), German and English Language? Did I miss something? (EXAMS HAVE STOLEN MY BRAIN MAYBE OUR BRAINS ARE ON THE SAME SHELF OF STOLEN BRAINS).

No, I have no idea what I'm on about. Shhh.

I am basically doing nothing throughout most of August, so: YES. Now, I know we have had a conversation very similar to this before, but, er, like you said, STOLEN BRAINS. So, sort of, how long are you here for? Where, indeed, are you to be, other than the fact it is in the south? Are you with your family, on your own, do you have places to stay, etc? (lol interrogation. It's intense questioning of love, I swear.)

I did Government and Politics (although I always forget it's really called that, because people only ever call it Politics in my school), English Language, History and German for AS Level, and I'm dropping German at the end of this year. I'd like to say I have dropped it, except I a) still have the oral exam to do and b) THEY'RE MAKING ME GO TO THE LESSONS FOR FOUR WEEKS, ARGH.

Right, intense answering time:

I am arsing about in the south for about a week(ish) on my own (I KNOW I WILL CLEARLY BE KILLED), visiting a couple of internet friendy friends ([livejournal.com profile] cecile_volanges and hopefully [livejournal.com profile] misplacedmarble if everything works out), so I'll be in Portsmouth and then Reading.

So, er, I kind of have places to stay. But I can always impose myself on more people ;)

Why must you go to the lessons for four weeks if YOU'RE DROPPING IT? That makes no sense. Kill them. (or, er, a less violent solution).

From: [identity profile] strangeumbrella.livejournal.com
YOU WON'T BE KILLED, IT'LL BE GREAT, I HAVEN'T DIED YET. We will somehow find each other, and, christ, I don't even know where Portsmouth is, other than it's on the coast somewhere, hang on, let me look it up. ...Oh! Near the Isle of Wight! Well, there you go. But yes, it pretty much seems like you're sorted, but, idk, if somehow you miscalculate and end up stranded at any point, you are more than welcome to crash here (and probably watch Life On Mars).

Argh, we have to go to all the lessons because they think we might not want to finalise our course decisions for A2 until we know what we got for AS, which won't be until August. And, well, that makes sense, because if we don't go to these four weeks of a particular subject, we are (for some reason) not allowed to take it next year, so if people change their minds based on results in August, they will need to have done these four weeks, and basically I have explained this in waaay too many words, but that is why. Unfortunately for me, I know that whatever I get in anything, there is no way I am doing German next year, so... it's all a bit of a waste of time.

But but but...I FEEL I SHOULD SEE YOU. Seeing as I'm in the south anyway, and you are in the south, and, er, this sounds like I am forcing my way into your home, so I feel I should also stop talking.

I could maybe skip down a few days early, or something like that, Y/N? (SHUT UP MOOG WITH THE BLATENT SELF-IMPOSING).

What day do you get AS results? Our GCSE ones are 24 August.

No look clearly we are both stupid and far too polite, because you're worried about imposing and I was sitting there thinking "it would be so awesome if she could stay but oh no I don't want to make her feel like she has to come, and make it awkward, and mess up her plans, argh,"--so, basically, if it's possible, DUDE, COME AND STAY WITH ME. My parents are fine with the whole internets thing, so there are no problems there, although wait when are you coming? The 4th? I know there is a week a bit later in August (the 9th to the something? around then but not definite on dates) where I am actually on my own (my family is going to France and I didn't want to), so if you're around then, that would work kind of awesomely, but if not, any time is pretty much fine.

(I think our AS results are the 16th August, which still feels like aaaages. I hate the waiting.)

Seriously, the 9th to the something? That week? Because I am totally free and also still in the south that week. I was going to go home and spend the week on my own (family arsing about doing something somewhere to do with family tree research) but I COULD COME AND STAY WITH YOU. Er, for however long. I don't mind.

I WILL STAY WITH YOU. Look at us being all polite. And, you know, if it's a different week you're on your ownsome - I'll just hop on a train and come down anyway, because, yes, so there.

That's... amazingly brilliant. We will have to plan this slightly better when I actually, er, know when it is that my family's going away, but YAYE FOR THIS. There was a bit of a plan for [livejournal.com profile] lo0o0ony_lauren to maybe turn up at my house at some point so we can make an indent into the Massive List Of Stuff We Have To Watch, but I'm not entirely sure when that is, because a) not sure when holiday is occurring and b) Loz has her NYT course somewhere around there too. So. It's all a bit confusing, but basically YES, COME AT SOME POINT WHICH WILL BE BETTER FINALISED IN THE FUTURE.

...ISN'T THIS EXCITING.

From: [identity profile] moogle62.livejournal.com
Hurrah! VERY EXCITING.

And, like, I'll be seeing you. HAVING A REAL CONVERSATION. WITH VOICES. And, er, faces too, seeing as we won't be talking from other sides of a door or with pillowcases on our heads (er, unless some bizarre circumstances occur, or zombies attack and we are separated and/or have to disguise ourselves with patterned cotton head-bags) so, yaye.

Not to be irritating and shite, but when might 'better finalised in the future' be? I'm trying to bug three people at once now to nudge dates into my face so I can go and harrass the train ticket website into giving me cheap tickets :D

Date: 2007-06-18 08:58 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] strangeumbrella.livejournal.com
OH GOD, I HOPE YOU KNOW THAT IF ZOMBIES ATTACK I WILL BE REALLY USELESS. I can't even deal with spiders; I don't know how I'd cope with the undead. Are there any heavy objects in my house?? I think we used to have a cricket bat somewhere, but I don't know where it is. The bass guitar's pretty hefty, but I really don't want to get it all covered in blood. Bascially, let's not have zombies. (Wait, I think far too much thought went into that paragraph in general.)

Erm erm erm when will it be. When do you really need to know by, train-ticket-wise? I keep asking my mum now and again if she knows when they're going, and she keeps telling me they're going to sort it out properly soon, so I will try to hurry them up and let you know as soon as I can. :D

From: [identity profile] moogle62.livejournal.com
Erm, let's see. Sometime in the next two or three weeks would be good, so no incredible hurry there.

I WILL MAKE A ZOMBIE REPELLENT. This is clearly an excellent idea. Then there will be no attack, and if there is, they will be unable to get into your home and we can just watch Shaun of the Dead for survival techniques!
