RIGHT

Why is it that, inevitably, whenever I've been wanting to write something for a while, and been doodling around in notebooks in the vain hope that something will leap out of my pen and smack in the face with its Getting Writtenness, I will always find myself at some stupid hour of the day when I should, by all rights and needs, be both in my bed and asleep, sitting here with an open Word document and something new just beginning to take shape?

Currently, I am in the middle of writing two things, neither of which I was expecting to write before today, and both of them make me wonder if I have actually lost my mind.

Never mind! I just like to be writing things. I find the other truth in writing fic is that it will always spring itself in its most proactive state just when I have a bazillion other things that really need to be done or there will be Dire Consequence, like finishing coursework, or revising, or catching up on that pile of work that is mocking me from its corner of my room, or, I don't know, Getting Better, or something. Obviously these things should take second place to finishing the fics.

This is a silly hour of the morning to be posting as well: I will re-read this tomorrow and see it in all its pretentious glory and feel a bit ashame-ed.

In conclusion:

This is one of the best things on the internet, y/y?
