moogingBAFTA noms are out!
GUYS, GUYS, MIRANDA RICHARDSON IS UP FOR BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS AND I AM LOVE IS UP FOR BEST FILM NOT IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE, WHICH MEANS THAT OSTENSIBLY TILDA SWINTON AND MIRANDA RICHARDSON ARE BOTH GOING TO BE THERE. ALLCAPS FOREVER. AJKSHFHSGFDJSGD.
I'd quite like Inception to get best original screenplay, because it did legitimately make me (and also a large proportion of the rest of the world) go a bit mental. I need to see True Grit before more thoughts, but I'd quite like to see Hailee Steinfeld get best actress, Geoffrey Rush for best supporting actor, and ANYONE OTHER THAN LESLEY MANVILLE for best supporting actress, because I saw Another Year a lot at work and found her so extremely irritating every time that I even tried to make cleaning the bathrooms last longer so I wouldn't have to go in. Admittedly I just didn't like Another Year at all anyway, but that's not the point. Animated film: I LOVED HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, THE LITTLE DRAGONS WITH THEIR FACES AHDFJHSDGFJHGSDJ but then Despicable Me was a bundle of loveliness and Toy Story 3 WAS SOUL-DESTROYINGLY EMOTIONAL so idek.
I might have to live-blog the BAFTAS this year? WE SHALL SEE.
EDIT: huge apologies to anyone who saw this while it still had a half-formed draft of a fic masterlist outside the cut, that was just sheer stupidity on my part! IT IS ONE IN THE MORNING AND I JUST WATCHED DOLLHOUSE 1X09, so, apologies again.
