Have totally pilfered this from my Meredithy who is currently screwing up the heads of Fran and I with hers. My turn now.

[livejournal.com profile] highfashionlie is where to find Meredithy's.

Pick out your 10 favorite movies. Don't mention their titles! Tell your flist which year they were made in, where, and then quote a favorite line of yours from the film. Let your friends guess which movies you mean. When someone gets one right, cross it off the list!

(Yeah, we need to know how to do strikethroughs!)

1. 2003, USA

"They say when you meet the love of your life, time stops and that's true. What they don't tell you is that when it starts again, it moves extra fast to catch up."

2. 2001, France/Germany

"Time's funny. When you're a kid, it passes slowly, and next thing you're fifty and your childhood fits into a rusty little box."

3. 2003, UK/USA

"But for now, let me say - Without hope or agenda - Just because it's Christmas - And at Christmas you tell the truth - To me, you are perfect - And my wasted heart will love you - Until you look like this (picture of a mummified person)

4. 1993, USA

"I've been stabbed, shocked, poisoned, frozen, hung, electrocuted and burned."

"Oh really?"

"And every day I wake up without a scratch on me, not a dent in the fender...I am immortal"

5. 1999, USA

"It is truth, but truth is not always appearance"

6. 1995, USA/UK

"What do you know of my heart? What do you know of anything but your own suffering?"

7. 1993, UK/USA

"Look at it! Is that or is it now the wrong chinaman?"

"[character name], I'm very busy. I'm surprised that you have nothing better to do all day.."

"[character name], look at that chinaman and tell me the truth!"

"[character name], I would ask you to keep your voice down. What would the other servants think to hear us shouting at the top of our voices about chinamen?"

"And I would ask you, [character name], to turn around and look...at the chinaman."

8. 1994, USA

"Visions are worth fighting for. Why spend your life making someone else's dreams?"

9. 1993, Australia/New Zealand/France

"I am quite the town freak, which satisfies."

10. 1992, UK/Russia/France/Italy/Netherlands

"You're hurt, ma'am."

"I'm dead, sir"

"Dead. That's serious. Can I help?"

"Will you marry me?"

"Ma'am, I would gladly...but I fear my ankle is twisted."

Ok, here are woah!clues for 6 and 9.

(btw, Big Fish is right!)

6 = said by Emma Thompson, who may also have WRITTEN what she said

9 = said by a character who only speaks in voiceover for the whole film. Never to the actual characters.
